"Al Gore to Dick Cheney: 'I waited two years'
Politico ^ | May 15, 2009 | By ANDY BARR

Al Gore said Friday that fellow former Vice President Dick Cheney has jumped back into the political fray too soon into the new administration’s term.

“I waited two years after I left office to make statements that were critical,” Gore said during an interview on CNN, pointing out that his critiques were focused on “policy.”

“Talk about somebody that shouldn't be talking about making the country less safe, invading a country that did not attack us and posed no serious threat to us at all,” Gore said of Cheney.

Gore identified Cheney as “the leading spokesman for his party” and said he suspects Cheney’s prominence is not welcomed by other Republicans

“I have a feeling that members of his own party wish that he would not do that,” Gore said. “But I'll let that be an argument between him and them.”

Despite the criticism, Gore claimed he does not “want to get dragged into an argument with Dick Cheney about what he's getting into.”

Here’s another one—note the date:

Al Gore needed those two years to build his Green Money Machine. Al Gore didn't need to respond to attacks by the Bush administration.

Al Gore is a bloviating buffoon.

“I waited two years after I left office to make statements that were critical,” Gore said during an interview on CNN, pointing out that his critiques were focused on “policy.”

That is probably because it took you that long to realize that you were no longer IN office.

“Talk about somebody that shouldn't be talking about making the country less safe, invading a country that did not attack us and posed no serious threat to us at all,” Gore said of Cheney.

You mean, like Bosnia?

Gore identified Cheney as “the leading spokesman for his party” and said he suspects Cheney’s prominence is not welcomed by other Republicans

Pretty amazing. Ask 10 Democrats who the 'leading spokesman' for the Republicans happens to be, and you get 11 answers. One minute it is Rush, next it is Palin, yet another says Coulter or Rove. The ManBearPig says it is Cheney.

“I have a feeling that members of his own party wish that he would not do that,” Gore said. “But I'll let that be an argument between him and them.”

Right. That is why you are speaking up about it...

Despite the criticism, Gore claimed he does not “want to get dragged into an argument with Dick Cheney about what he's getting into.”

This is precisely what you wanted. Your 'Global Warming' meme is sinking faster than the Titanic and you are wanting the lime-light back.

Here is what I posted on the Politico board:
“Talk about somebody that shouldn’t be talking about making the country less safe, invading a country that did not attack us and posed no serious threat to us at all,” Gore said of Cheney.

Memo to Al Gore - the Clinton/Gore Adiministration came up with the policy of Regime Change specifically in reference to Saddam Hussein and his refusual to account for WMD.

I guess Al Gore forgot all that. Just more revisionist history from typical liberal hyrpocrites.

ManBearPig

Al, just because you cracked and went Grizzly Adams for awhile after your defeat, don't pretend now that you stayed away out of respect for the office.

I don't think ole Al should get too lippy...he DOESN'T want a piece of Cheney...Cheney'd kick his rear with the power of the FORCE

He does seem to have an aura, a power, a knowing confidence, a force around him....

His demeanor belies the true 'warrior' that lies beneath his composed persona.

IMHO... Mr Cheny may be 'baiting' this administration to prosecute. His preparedness in all public addresses, all public hearings sets forth a man sure of his positions, sure of his convictions, sure of his evidence.

It took him that long to stop his eating binge and conceive his royal scam on global warming.

Note to the geniuses at The Politico:
Al Gore is lying.
Feb 3, 2002 - New York Times - Gore criticizes Bush on economy.

Not quite 2 years - actually only 1 year and 2 weeks, but who’s counting, it kind of round up to 2 years.

So the nincompoop was out blaming President Bush for a recession less than 5 months after 9-11. I guess he missed the fact that some planes hit some buildings and bunch of innocent people died, and amazing damage was done to our financial system and our commercial airline industry.

But let’s take him at face value just for fun:
So in Feb 2002 we were in a recession. We seem to have gotten out of it back then - but how? What did we do to tax policy in 2002 I wonder... hmmm ... maybe someone can help me, I seem to be fuzzy on the details.
(Me to AlGore - “Lying Jerk”)

I love this. The honorable former veep is nearly 70 and has a bad ticker and yet the traitors are scared to death of him. The reason is that he has the truth on his side. And they know it.

Cheney’s one of the most confident, calm, cool, and collected people you could meet. If he’s talking people should be listening.

Gore did not wait two years. In January 2002 he came out fighting in Nashville, announcing that he was creating a PAC for a new presidential campaign.
