NEW YORK -- Alex Rodriguez's first hit at the new Yankee Stadium was a doozy.
Rodriguez belted a game-ending, two-run homer in the 11th inning to give New York a 6-4 win over the Minnesota Twins on Saturday.

I still say that the Babe's ghost is *really* pissed off at this new Yankee Stadium ... its as if (as one NY sports-scribe put it) building a replica of the Eiffel Tower or the Great Pyramids in the middle of Vegas ... and the thing is, the *new* Yankee Stadium grandstand looks NOTHING like the original, other than the upper Facade ......
And I'm a die hard Yankee fan too!

In better news, Mets have won their 3rd in a row, 8and 2 in their last 10, 6 games over .500 and in first place by 2 games, lead the league in batting and stolen bases, and no players accused of using peformance enhancing drugs.
