Hearing the President speak is one thing...ubt bestowing on him an honorary degree is honoring someone who stands in direct opposition to the most fundamental values of life and morality that the Catholic Church holds dear.
I hope and pray that many, many graduates do not attend, and that it is obvious. I also hope that large numbers of people who do attend, stand and turn their backs to Obama as he speaks.

It will be. In his speech, he’s going to say that we must work to end abortion. The media and the crowd will cheer.
*And not one of them will remember that his actions completely obliterate human life at conception. Funding the world’s abortions as his first action as POTUS? Forgotten. Funding embryonic stem cell research? Forgotten. Not allowing children born alive to be cared for in cases of abortion? Forgotten.
There is a complete spiritual blindness in all of this. The Spirit has left this nation.

I tend to agree and, in fact, believe that departure happened almost 20 years ago when so-called church leaders lost their nerve and declined to take it to the streets.
Is it just me or have you noticed the uptick in conservative demonstrations? It may be a consequence of the recession. It’s my thought that hard working job holders have been laid off and are available for protests that were the domain of dem-lib types.
Of course it can be true. The Holy Spirit is always and forever with His people and in His people guiding them.
The Holy Spirit can and will leave a nation that refuses the Spiritual laws. The US has abandoned all pretense of abiding by eternal laws.
The downward slope is faster and faster as the US continues to embrace paganism. It is fast becoming a pagan nation. We are governed by liars, cheats, and ego-driven people on both sides of the aisle, relativists and gnostics all.
That’s inaccurate. The folks protesting in South Bend are not a bunch of jobless people with too much time on their hands. They are people who believe deeply in something, and are therefore willing to sacrifice something less important to be there.
You know it. We know it and most importantly GOD KNOWS IT. I would NOT want to be in the shoes of these people when they meet their maker. God help them all.
We have seen people stand outside prisons on the night someone is about to be punished and carry their signs and shed their tears.
We have seen people stand and protest the jailing and punishment of terrorists who have killed and maimed innocent men, women and children.
Where are the people for the unborn babies? They are NO WHERE. They are hypocrities. They go with the flow and since abortion is “in” they follow the crowd just like they do fashion and all the rest of the materialistic crap.
We are for LIFE. We are not for MURDER and that’s what it is plain and simple. God help those who do it...God help those who have it done and God help those who support it.
God IS watching and God KNOWS.
There are still millions of faithful decent Christian people in this country. He will never leave nor forsake them.
And if bold leaders will rise up now, speaking the truth, you will be amazed at how many of those heathens will be coming in God’s direction.

I bet you would see a bishop or two show up at an pro-criminal alien “immigration” protest.
Am I getting jaded and callous? Probably. I expect Church leaders to lead. I don't want to hear any more diplomatic talk from Bishops. I have seen too many “Pay, Pray, and Obey” Bishops and Priests. I thought as part of their vocation they were to fore go the comforts of this world for the sake of the souls of their flock.
Besides, why is is so risky for them to stand on a side walk and denounce what ND is doing? 80 or 90 Bishops writing a letter is OK but still a weak gesture. And where are the rest of them?
A pointed question to each of those Bishops: Why won't you sign and denounce ND?

I think that this nation and world are in the depths of the apostacy described in the end times. The Spirit is here but no longer in established religion where so many compromises have been made.
As of today, Notre Dame has completely compromised its base values. It now joins Harvard, Yale, Princeton, etc. as FORMER theological universities that are not secular, humanistic (and WAY over priced) institutions of indoctrination.
The story of the day is not going to just be who went to Notre Dame. It will be who did not go to Notre Dame, or speak out.

Of course he won’t, but God deals with individual souls. Each and every single soul is weighed as though it were the only creation.
That’s what so heinous and evil about abortion: Not only is the individual soul murdered, but every single one that would come from that one is also murdered.
God remains with his people, but He will leave a nation to its folly and He will only allow His governance and guidance on those leaders who listen. He has abandoned this country to its fate.
Those who are His he knows: “I know my sheep and my sheep hear Me.”
To me, this is just another page in humanities long walk between light and dark. We had a gift and a promise with this country that could have been kept, but as always, man seeks to make a paradise in his own image according to his own desires and it is always and forever destined to fail.

Yes EV. It reminded me of Alan Keyes hands tied behind his back. Fr Norm Weslin, Lt. Col for 20 yrs in the US Army, has had the same thing done to him 70 times and much worse. Perhaps a glimpse into the future, not by Islamists but our own government.

Yes! Fr Weslin has said in the past that some “family type police” were great while others were “only following orders” when they roughed him up - he’s had his arms broken in the past.

Let us not forget that almost every week we hear of a child that is murdered by their parents or kidnapped and murdered. Husbands and boyfriends murdering their wife or girlfriend because they don’t want them to have a baby. Parents giving drugs to their children it just goes on and on. Once a child is considered waste they are no longer sacred. Once God’s gift now a punishment. But let us not forget all of this is so that sex can be with whoever and whenever,just do it mentality. Get pregnant,just kill it.
