He is living a pipe dream. It all comes down to this: You either kill or you don’t.

You are either dead or alive...

There is no common ground. It’s like you can’t be partially pregnant.

“Each side will continue to make its case to the public with passion and conviction,” he said. “But surely we can do so without reducing those with differing views to caricature.”

In other words don’t criticize my position and characterize ‘abortion rights’ advocacy as murder and evil. This is a variation of the theme: “Shut Up”

One thing we do know. Muslims think it’s perfectly acceptable for them to lie.

And O has no problem following that tenet of his religion.

Common ground? I guess in Obama’s mind partial birth abortion is a compromise - the baby comes out part way and then they kill it. Solomon also had a compromise solution for the two women fighting over a baby which comes to mind and made a great point about the futility of ‘compromise’ in such matters.

Addressing a sharply divided audience at the storied Catholic university,

I guess there must have been a lot of protesters or CNN wouldn't have mentioned it.

What is the common ground between killing a baby and letting him or her live? There is none.

The man has no logic, no rationality, no common sense.

How did he ever make it through college, let alone Law School?

the only common ground regarding abortion is the fact these babies rarely get put into the ground even. Common ground my foot!

Obama is using tax dollars for free abortions. How are free abortions going to make abortion rare? If he wanted less abortion wouldn’t he tax them not make them free?

“Common ground”? Like the left agrees it’s murder and helps to stop it? Yes I didn’t think so either....

I said yesterday that this is what he would say. He's channeling Rodney King; "Can't we just all get along?"

This is the typical liberal modus operandi. They force a change that only a small amount of people want, then when those who are against it try to change it back, the libs go into this 'oh so sad', "Why are they trying to fight us. Why must they be so disagreeable?

Sound familiar?

Would he have supported common ground during the slavery debate?

Heh, if there had been 'common ground', That One would likely never have had the chance to become President.

Why don’t you propose “common ground” on admissions and employment? You know, “no person” means no quotas, preferences, “affirmative action” or “diversity” rationalizations. Let everyone be judged on their merits.

A Quinnipiac University poll released last Thursday suggests most U.S. Catholics wanted Notre Dame to allow Obama to speak, with 60 percent of Catholic voters in the survey saying Notre Dame should stand by its invitation to the president.

Observant Catholic voters who attend religious services about once a week said by a 49 to 43 percent margin that Notre Dame should keep Obama on the program. Catholics who attend services less frequently said by a 70 percent to 26 percent margin that Obama should speak, according to the poll.

I see the MSM has begun to distort the issue. That One speaking at the commencement wasn't the crux of the problem. The Bishops and many Catholics were appalled that the University would award That One an Honorary Degree, which denotes APPROVAL of the man, and what he believes. THAT is why we were so against Notre Dame on this issue. It wasn't simply having the man speak.
