WASHINGTON (AP) ― Legislation imposing the first nationwide limits on the pollution blamed for global warming advanced in the House late Thursday, clearing a key committee despite strong Republican opposition.
The Energy and Commerce Committee approved the sweeping climate bill 33-25 after repeatedly turning back GOP attempts to kill or weaken the measure during four days of debate.
The panel's action increases the likelihood that the full House for the first time will address broad legislation to tackle climate change later this year. The Senate has yet to take up the issu

Absolute insanity. Not only isn’t there man made global warming, if there is then China, India and others fully plan to surpass us in CO2 production so crippling our economy will accomplish zero.

Global warming is conceptual thing. Like cars that are today sold on the appeal to certain needs in self image (Even the advertising is near all conceptual), Global Warming is a marketed product that sells a feeling to people. of course when something becomes popular and gains momentum, politicians will eagerly throw themselves out front of the issue. Global Warming is no different than: The ozone hole, acid rain, the world running out of fresh water, the coming ice age.........

CO2 is plant food. More CO2 in the atmosphere (right now it comprises .004 of the atmosphere, btw), more crops, more food, more ''renewable resources''.

I just wish that the press weren't so incredibly dense. The headlines here should be something like "House votes to raise your electric bill by $500 per month", which would actually tell the average American something that he needs to know about this incredibly stupid idea.
