President Obama has done a lot of speechifying in recent days about America's "responsibilities" in fighting terror.

So you'd think he'd have a word of encouragement for the team of crack FBI agents and NYPD officers that foiled a real-life terror attack against two Bronx synagogues on Wednesday.

Alas, not a peep.

Obama yesterday spoke at commencement ceremonies at the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. -- largely rehashing the themes of his address the day before on terror detainees currently held at Guantanamo Bay.

"As Americans, we reject the false choice between our security and our ideals," he said.

One would hope so.

Yet when it comes to acknowledging the threat that Islamic terror clearly still poses to the American homeland, Obama's been worryingly slow coming out of the gate.

A verbal nod to the Bronx plot -- especially as he raised the prospect Thursday of bringing Guantanamo detainees to US soil -- would at least have assured Americans that he's aware of the stakes involved.

Or is the president's "new approach" in the War on Terror entirely an academic exercise?

His “war on terror” is all eyewash. He really doesn’t mind terrorists at all and in fact it seems as if he would be quite comfortable with an Islamic socialist dictatorship, a la Iran.

I did notice the MSM kind of glossed over this story. Now let me see if I got this right. We close Gitmo and bring the terrorists over here into 'super max'. The only problem is that not all of them will end up there because

1) The 'super max' facility only has so much room.

2) Their ACLU lawyers will convince a court that not all of these individuals are threats. Some of them are simple goat farmers who were dragged out of bed by the US military so just let them out. (You KNOW something like this will happen)

So lets just say maybe 10% get put into the regular prison population. Do we REALLY need foreign trained muzzies mixed in with the existing population of gang-bangers and neo nazis in the prisons?

Which brings us to the main reason Bam didn't mention this foiled plot. A little digging will show that these were home grown terrorists, gang bangers who converted to "The Religion of Peace" while serving time in prison.

BTW, did Freepers know that the first Muslim college is being built near Berkeley. A fitting area for anti-American protests. He has no use for the police or FBI who uncovered the plot, or the Jews who were going to get bombed. But the Black Muslims who were arrested are "brothers."
