Rudy and Judi Giuliani were accosted today in the Hamptons by an angry man who threatened to "punch out" the former mayor, witnesses told The Post.
Patrons sitting outside The Golden Pear bakery in downtown Bridgehampton around 2 p.m. said a "slim, well-dressed man in his fifties" came charging out of nowhere and began screaming at the happy couple as they left a nearby art fair.
"I'm gonna punch your lights out," the wacko repeatedly yelled at Giuliani, witnesses said. Rudy and Judi appeared startled and then agitated by the man's aggressive behavior.
At one point the man started jabbing the former mayor in the chest, said Mark Borghi, owner of an art gallery on Bridgehampton's Main Street.
"Alright, do it then!" Borghi heard the Brooklyn native Giuliani yell to his tormentor.

And it looks like the same 6 or 7 Giuliani haters came out from under their respective rocks to post the very same anti Rudy comments that were seen way before the election. They act just like the psycho in N.Y. Hmmmm.
You hadda know Donna.
I have heard about her; but he married her and he should have waited until they divorced.
OIC, that was probably pretty well known, but for some reason I don’t remember. While I consider this important, it was probably taking place when other things were hogging my attention.
I’m a lapsed rememberer... LOL
No problem here.
Male bonding?
Don't blame me, I voted for Palin with McPain as a necessary evil.
I survived the April 2007 Rudyite massacre here at FR, and I remain unrepentant.
He would be.a far better President than Obama.
Sorry I went to sleep yesterday before you asked this, then found your question just now clicking “posts to you.”
Yeah, if it’s not universal, it’s near-universal, and any jurisdiction not following these rules is an outlier. I cited the common-law rules, which are then codified in somewhat different statutory language from State to State. Or, more precisely, the definition of assault is codified in different language. I don’t know how many States have specific statutes regarding self-defense, but the rule that you don’t have to wait for a battery (actual touching), but can act in self-defense upon an assault, is universal or near-universal in the case law of the States.
What was his FR screenname?
Rudy does not deserve this behavior.
Agree.
Any nastier than the things some Freepers say about Rudy here?
Definitely. If I were Rudy, I'd have a bodyguard for sure. (Unless I could get a permit to carry in NYC - but what are the chances of that?)
Thank you FreeKitty. I didn’t want to turn into a fur ball here... ;-)
I appreciate the response. I think it’s an important distinction. Personally, I would have thought the ‘bad guy’ could have turned the legal tables on someone going preemptive.
I’m glad to hear an opinion that is not, or at least is not always the case.
Thank you.
The element of surprise is sometimes the only thing a person who is being challenged, has in his favor.
LOL Too funny.
You got that right. Its KTFO time for the poker player. I have a long fuse for all sorts of verbal abuse but once contact is made all bets are off.
;-)
