You cannot fire the President of France or South Korea or........
Think W beleived in 'Right' and so imagined the 'truth would out' and so he left it to others to work through the 'resistance'; while he; demonstrating his strength as a human punching bag; went about the business of trying to protect America and restore America in a post 9/11 world.
Mostly think W imagined the truth would speak for itself. He may have been right; but he did not realize the damage done while America waited, for this truth to find it's voice.

And let’s not forget that it was the similar “let’s trust him” attitude of Slick Willy who allowed NK to have nuclear plants supposedly for electricity, though conservatives at the time said they’d use them for military purposes.
Once again, the liberal mentality endangers the innocent.
