The screams of tormented (Cuban) women
“Day and night, the screams of tormented women in panic and desperation who cry for God’s mercy fall upon the deaf ears of prison authorities. They are confined to narrow cells with no sunlight called “drawers” that have cement beds, a hole on the ground for their bodily needs, and are infested with a multitude of rodents, roaches, and other insects.
These female prisoners lack all sort of necessary personal possessions and almost always have no water, even for bathing, often drinking this precious liquid full of insects. The food distributed to them is terrible, smells rotten, and is stored in receptacles lacking in hygiene. Even prison officials have complained of the small quantities served.
In these “drawers” the women remain weeks and months. When they scream in terror due to the darkness (blackouts are common) and the heat, they are injected sedatives that keep them half-drugged.”

The idea that AP would give any credibility at all to murderer Castro shows how low it's descended. They must not teach any history at all in schools these days.
Castro: Torture is always wrong, but allowing Che to shoot bullets into people’s heads is A-OK!

Who says dead men tell no lies?
Comrade FIDEL aint out of the woods yet.
What comes around goes around, and that red son of a bitch in Cuba may yet get whats coming to him.
Paybacks a bitch.
Yup, after all, the dead tell no lies...
This is not an inconsistent philosphical position, in spite of appearances. Castro apparently believes that, as Orwell's torturer in 1984 said: "The purpose of torture is torture." Not to extract any information, but simply to punish deviation.
Because there is no doubt that torture--real torture--is national policy in Cuba.
Is this satire?
This coming from Fidel Castro. In other news, Bill Clinton opines that oral sex is a sin, Bonnie Parker says that bank robbery is despicable, and Pot calls Kettle black.
There really is something upsetting when a person who is known to be a practitioner of a particular evil such as Castro and torture, speaks like he is a saint and accuses his betters of the same, and people take him seriously.
My Sister worked at Eglin AFB as a clerk typist during Summers while in college in the early 60’s. There happened to be a large number of Cubans at Eglin at the time and just about all of them had been tortured by Castro’s minions.
The Associated Press is pretty much useless as a source of accurate information, and is doing the country a disservice. Are they incapable of diving into the facts of the Castro regime?
This is a joke, right? Fidel Castro, whose regime employed (and employs today) torture as a matter of course and standard procedure, is sayinbg torture is bad? Then WHY THE F**K didn’t he discontinue its practice!
Actually, it was Raul, not Che, who was the executioner of the “revolution”. Raul is hated in Cuba.
That’s right, assassins like Che Guevara should just kill any political prisoners.
Noted this-

What is in little dispute is the savagery of his tenure as the commander of the La Cabaña Fortress prison. Think of it as Cuba’s Abu Ghraib. In a mere five months Guevara oversaw and personally signed off on the execution of as many as 500 people. Men, women, children. Not all merely loyalists to overthrown Cuban dictator Fulgencio Batista. Also executed were political prisoners, dissidents, artist, intellectuals and homosexuals. A representative number of the left the revolution was supposed to be lifting up.
His bloody handiwork should come as no surprise. Before Guvera was a soap pitchman from beyond the grave, he was the “The Butcher of la Cabaña” who preached: “hatred as an element of struggle; unbending hatred for the enemy, which pushes a human being beyond his natural limitations, making him into an effective, violent, selective, and cold-blooded killing machine.”
Good post, thank you.
Castro said that? OMG. I’m LOL! That’s classic, precious, ridiculous! Alice in Wonderland material!
That is rich coming from him. Wow.
