Admittedly, I was one of the moderate conservatives who was wooed by Obama during his PR campaign to become the country’s next president. Sadly, even though I was still unsure of my vote until the week before the election, I know better now. I truly had no idea he would turn out to be the radical tax and spend liberal he’s revealed. Since the beginning of his presidency, Obama seems more interested in making policies and decisions that grab headlines than those in the best interests of the country. The announcement of his whopping $3 trillion budget, trailing the $800 billion bank bailout, was shocking and yet the media seemed to rally around him. The president wants to do everything at one time, national healthcare, economy, taxes (wealth redistribution), clean energy, infrastructure, education and more. He acts very king-like, expecting Congress to endorse everything he floats their way, but his high octane PR strategy–loaded with smiles and good oratory may be fading…

No moderate conservative I know voted for Obama. What kind of idiot couldn’t see the difference in opinion on ALL issues between the R’s and the D’s. That’s like saying that I didn’t like the next babysitter on the list, but this one from the bad side of town (who happens to be a baby killer) sure does talk good and makes me feel good so I’ll hire him.

My Republican friend called me the day after the election and said he voted for Obama. I had left him a VM earlier on election day to vote for McCain who was his choice during the primaries.
I said you were for McCain in the primaries and now you voted for Obama? Huh.
He has later come back to say how he did it due to his second wife. Rabid NEA Democrat.

The ONLY reason any alleged conservative voted for Obama probably had to do with the tax situation and so, like so many, they sold out their souls to the Devil himself. That’s what they get for thinking only about money.

Hey! I have only one functioning brain cell, and I knew!! Seriously, Allah was squishy during the whole campaign. Everyone who commented on his site was also anti-Nobama, they ‘knew’. His current ‘aw, gee’ stance is somewhat silly, IMO.

I know. I was stunned when she said that. She was pretty defensive about the vote when I reminded her he was a pro-abort and she claims to be pro-life. Now she won’t even discuss him or the election.
I figure she was sort of grief addled at the time, she had recently lost her husband who died unexpectedly.
Hey I was proud of him as he can be somewhat dense but he did try to go to counseling in his first disastrous marriage. After one visit she said it was too much trouble. She quickly ended it and pushed for a fast divorce.
And not months later she announced she was remarrying. The gardner.
No different than most I guess. 70% of divorces are initiated by women in the US I’ve heard.
Personally being a failing Catholic, I don’t believe in divorce. But I’ve yet to marry. I’m learning the lessons from my friends.
Your friend is right. I’ve heard reports McCain is arrogant. If there was any doubt look how arrogant he’s been on illegal immigration. He said he finally got it but he always returns to form.
His arrogance refuses to accept the electorate’s desire to have laws respected.
Your friend’s error was in not recognizing that Obama is even more arrogant. Should be figuring it out about now, no?
