WASHINGTON – Barack Obama's elusive long-form birth certificate that would establish his eligibility to serve as president as a "natural born citizen" is the hottest discussion topic at the Fox News Channel's website.
Under the heading, "Should Obama release his birth certificate? Or is this old news?," nearly 1,000 comments have been posted – all of them since White House press secretary Robert Gibbs was questioned about the document earlier this week by WND White House correspondent Les Kinsolving.
The rush of posts at the Fox News site makes it the "most talked about" issue, according to a ranking on the right side of the page.
One contributor to the page had this to say: "Not old news, just a burning question that needs an answer, and while your at it, get some of that other hidden, sealed information uncovered like, his passport to Indonesia, his college records, etc. There are so many unanswered questions, and frankly you all dropped the ball before the election."
The visibility of the Obama birth certificate issue has also been raised by a new national billboard campaign initiated by Joseph Farah, editor and chief executive officer of WND. Launched just over a week ago, the campaign has raised about $55,000 and begun erecting billboards that ask the question, "Where's the birth certificate?"
That campaign followed one launched months earlier to collect names on an electronic petition demanding accountability and transparency on the issue. So far, that petition has gathered nearly 400,000 names.

I have a COLB that is identical to Obama’s, except that it was issued by the state of Maryland in 1962. The US government would not let me join the Navy in 1980 with just that, and would not give me a passport in 1996 with the COLB. I was told in both cases, that a COLB is not adequate proof of natural citizenship.
My COLB has a seal too.
It does not matter to a lib. They will think it wonderful that a black man from a poor country rises to lead the greatest nation on Earth.

There are many complaints that there posts are not appearing.....I tried numerous times and got less than half of mine to appear....None of those that “vanished’ contained any material that should have been omitted.

If you are that forthcoming about it, why not have O sign a waiver to allow the State of Hawaii to release his COLB to anyone that requests it. After all, as you say, you already put it up on the Internet

The hottest issue at their WEBSITE??? How about ON THE AIR??? When the leggy, blonde newsreaders actually begin the discussion, the questioning and the DEMANDS that he produce the certificate ON THE AIR, I’ll say hurray for FOX. Until that time, FOX is just CNN lite.
Oh, and did I mention I suggested FOX file their own FoI to get the SS Registration.....hmmmm? Regardless it vanished.

I think Obama’s ‘historical black’ pass has ended. Finally we are judging the man based on the content of his character and not the color of his skin - true to Dr. King’s wishes.
The TRUTH is that 0bama is a LIAR, a CHEAT and a THIEF.
He might be embarrassed if we see his birth certificate. So what, so have millions of people. I know someone who had his birth date wrong his entire life until at retirement when he applied for Social Security and had to produce a birth certificate found out his mom had lied to him about his DOB.
I know another friend who has misspelled her name her entire life because someone wrote it differently on the BC than her mother wanted it spelled and she never knew until she was an adult and getting married.
I know a woman who didn’t find out that she was adopted until she was 35 years old and finally saw her original birth certificate.
Embarrassment is not a reason to withhold a birth certificate.

OK, in all this birth certificate mess - if there is a smoking gun why hasn’t something about it leaked? How is it that every state record official in Hawaii has not leaked anything? And the entire US passport office? I mean even if there is a system check of “no peaking” (as Condi Rice claimed), there’s the IT people that set it up that can go look at anything . . . and not one of them have leaked anything.

Shortly before her death last fall, a neighbor of Obama’s grandmother told friends that while she couldn’t talk about it.....she remembered the early sixties when Obama’s mother gave birth in Kenya.
It was well known that his mother was in Africa working on her degree.
