Skip to comments.Frank Rich: Who Is to Blame for the Next Attack?
Posted on 05/31/2009 6:41:53 AM PDT by Oldeconomybuyer
The Beltway antics that greeted the great Cheney-Obama torture debate were an unsettling return to the post-9/11 dynamic that landed America in Iraq. Once again Cheney and his cohort were using lies and fear to try to gain political advantage this time to rewrite history and escape accountability for the failed Bush presidency rather than to drum up a new war.
The harrowing truth remains unchanged from what it was before Cheney emerged from his bunker to set Washington atwitter. The Bush administration did not make us safer either before or after 9/11. Obama is not making us less safe. If theres another terrorist attack, it will be because the mess the Bush administration ignored in Pakistan and Afghanistan spun beyond anyones control well before Americans could throw the bums out.

I guess the name “Frank Rich” MEANS “Mega Barf Alert” so it would be redundant to actually ADD the words “Mega Barf Alert” to this post.
The media will blame right wing extremists who have made this administration “appear” weak.
Sheeple will follow suit.
Obama will blame everyone except himself,
and fail to mount a substantial response to the attackers.
Who knows... he may even use it to pressure Israel into appeasement.
Perception is 9/11ths of reality...
We should be dealing with the REAL enemy here... and it aint Obama.
Rich is off his thorazine again.
Frank Rich is bottom-feeding scum.
Obama is changing the policies of the Bush Admin. as fast as he can which will - without-a-doubt - make us less safe.
If we’re attacked again, it’s all on 0.
Oh, you mean Afghanistan, which was managed just like the leftists want, with plenty of "international cooperation" and a "real coalition" with Europe?
Since I don’t read the NYT I must have missed when we were attacked after 9/11
Ok, I think we can all agree then that it’s Frank’s fault.
“The Bush administration did not make us safer either before or after 9/11”
Rich launches a preemptive blame attack. Everything will always be W’s fault.
What a loon.
Amazing how the MSM and the Democrats keep repeating that Bush didn’t make the country safer after 9/11 yet we haven’t been attacked since then ...
They have some non-existent measure to say we’re less safe. A standard they’ve made up and stick to.
What a freaking moron.
What I despise the most about the left is that they go out of their way to concoct a preposterous notion that it’s never their fault. To Rich, if a terrorist attack on Obama’s watch is not his fault but Bush’s. Nothing can be a Democrat’s fault. Did Rich attribute the 9.11 attacks on Clinton or did he conveniently attribute them to Bush? I can only guess he attributes it to Bush because it was on his watch while giving Clinton a pass. Frank Rich is a hack of a writer for a paper that has no integrity or credibility.
It’s going to be the MAIN STREAM MEDIA’S FAULT.....
What the hell does that mean? That's like "Duller Knives" or "More Useless Tit."
A "safe gun" is a "useless gun." A gun with a gun lock on it cannot be used to defend yourself. A gun locked in a safe means you and sweet family get mowed down in the first barrage when the masked intruders kick in the door.
You getting duct-taped to the furniture so you can watch accented thugs play doctor with wifey-poo. That's what "safer guns" will get you.
Worth considering? You tell me.
Frank rich is a very good reason for euthanasia of the dying Times
The media is already making excuses for the left in case we are attacked? Why am I not surprised?
Obfuscation of facts is a highlight of the left. They are despicable.
The Bush administration did not make us safer either before or after 9/11. Obama is not making us less safe.
