Thank you! This is certainly not the right behavior. It is the behavior of extremists who are just as bad as the terrorists we are fighting. I wonder if they will ever learn that morals cannot be legislated, and start putting the time and effort into TEACHING MORAL VALUES. More lives will be saved. Simply follow the example of the greatest teacher who walked the earth 2000 years ago.

Father Jenkins, President of Notre Dame said “We don’t agree with his position on abortion, but with everything else, like global warming, poverty, liberation theology, socialism, gay rights, etc. Therefore, we ‘feel’ we can convince George on abortion just like we did Barack in 2009. (Before returning to Washington, the president stopped in Indianapolis for two fundraisers. About 40 people attended a $15,000 per couple Democratic National Committee event, which raised between $300,000 and $400,000. About 650 people attended a second fundraiser for four Indiana Democratic congressmen. Tickets ranged between $250 and $5,000 per person.)
‘President Obama’s 2009 Commencement address was followed in 2010 by Perez Hilton’s address to students focusing on same sex marriage. Father Jenkins was seen with tears in his eyes clasping his hands and looking up to God as Perez gave a resounding argument in favor of homosexual marriage.
Bet the killer is pro-abortion. This is not how to win the pro-life debate.

On another note, we don’t know who did it. This man viewed his behavior as being above God’s laws, and he was flaunting it.
How do we know this isn’t something deeply personal? For all we know, it could have been the result of a secret affair.

Our Constitution was supposed to give us “Federalism” where the National government respected the States, through the 10th Amendment.
Abortion law ignores the wisdom of our founders.
When the national government acts as a tyrant, the tools of the national government will meet a tyrants death.

There seem to be few alternatives left for us. Some feel desperate, painted into a corner. To THEM, this will be like the attempted assassination of Hitler.
But there ARE alternatives, as weak as they seem, and hopeless as it seems sometimes, and I feel bad for the person who snapped and took this action. However, NO reading of the Declaration of Independence, followed by a reading of the Constitution, could lead one to believe that our Founders were wrong on one important point: Civil Society will break down, and people WILL take back their "government" BY FORCE, if the government no longer respects the will of the people. I think that this was premature. I think, as far as the prolife cause is concerned, this WILL do more harm than good, at least in the short term. However, again, such actions were understood and predicted by our Founders, no less, when they FORMED this country.

Don’t get me wrong. I will fight these people to my last breath, but it doesn’t help our cause if they are gunned down by people on our side.
This is wrong if it was done by a pro-lifer.
However, I find it very suspicious that one week after polling data shows Americans are more pro-life than ever before, this murder occurs.
Not surprisingly, Free Republic is way ahead of the curve on this story.

Well, you are supposed to go to church on Sunday clean in body, mind and spirit to "worship" God. You don't go on Sunday to beg forgiveness and confess your sins, though, I realize that most churches and people don't follow this anymore. Another day of the week would be better for that if "he needed it."
He probably just went for show, though regardless of why he went to church, I must say I don't care if he went to Heaven or Hell. That's between him and The Almighty.
I agree. But so far I haven't read any details; I'm hoping it's something that has nothing to do with abortion (a personal vendetta, because he was apparently the type who stirred up enmity).

A friend of mine has done the right thing. She has picketed at abortion clinics, one of which is literally across from her Catholic church. She encourages adoption and has actually saved about a dozen babies from being murdered by talking to the mother and convincing her not to kill her baby.
God said “Thou shalt not murder.” I don’t think there is much room for debate there no matter who did it.
Police have a suspect description. The suspect is described as a white male in his 50's or 60's with grey hair that is balding in the middle. He is about 6'1" and about 220 pounds and was wearing a white shirt and dark pants. The suspect was last seen in a light blue Ford Taurus, possibly an early 1990's model. That works out to over 37 abortions daily (235 working days a year), or 4.5 abortions every hour, one(ish) every fifteen minutes. I'm not sure that is physically possible. FWIW.

I’m sure some will come by to say how tragic this and that a real conservative would mourn his death.
I do not support vigilantism and I’d never do anything like this, but I can’t say I’m saddened by it. It’s like if someone takes out a known killer. It’s wrong and the person must face punishment, but at the same time, no reason to shed tears. Tiller was an evil man.
Late term abortions are tragic.
