Kansas Abortionist George Tiller was shot today as he was going to Church.

Some conservatives would scold Thomas Paine.
An Administration already warning of the danger of "right wing" extremists and looking at "preventive detention" will surely be delighted. Politically this will be a resounding victory for pro abortion forces.
Amen! I am old enough to remember Malcolm X's comment when JFK was assassinated... "Chickens coming home to roost."
All the hand wringing that I have read on this thread makes me sick. I will try to actually pray that this monster did have space to repent of his monstrosity. I will try.
But, you, sir, have nailed the fact of the matter.
actually, the fear this strikes may thwart some babykillers
pressure ran all the clinics out of Mississippi...there may be one left..and fear does play a part
i’m ambivalent...I get your point but I’m just not concerned about the rest of it
i see a day coming if things don’t change where all our high and mighty musings will be very trivial in reflection
given our new demographics

PC run amok, the battle is lost.]
My thoughts exactly.
May 31 1279 BC Ramses II began his reign. It is also Pentecost.
That isn't a coincidence: that's evidence of planning by someone with knowledge of the violent fringe.
Which could point either to a lone nut who collects such details off the Internet, or to professionals in Washington working a file.
Nothing can be put past lone nuts, but nothing can also be put past students of Saul Alinsky.
Which leaves the question: cui bono?
I'll guess it was an ELCA church. We attend one near us from time to time, and in Bible study, the pastor's wife would rave about why abortion was a GOOD thing.
Not many KState vanity plates in Wichita.
Excellent analysis.
When you deal in human death, don’t be shocked when it comes to visit you.
Hardy. His killer has done more to advance the political strength of the abortion industry than any other act imaginable. The killer is every bit the scum Tiller was. And you should be ashamed of yourself for even thinking otherwise.
Well put, you three. That pretty well summarizes this, from a political perspective.
That's one an hour every hour for 40 years. Not defending the guy but that number is hard to believe.
Interesting!
Some of this monster’s innocent victims, whose only crime was to exist, had sisters. Equally tragic? Have you ever bothered to express that sentiment?
She also knows that she will not meet him in the after life - unless angels can do bus tours of hell.

I just want to make sure whoever the Admin Moderator on this thread has taken a sedative or some sort of adrenal blocker..it’s too early for a shot
gotta be some nail biting
so...I’ll give it a rest....I reckon I’ve made myself clear anough...time to go be with family
Don’t mischaracterize the movement you purport to understand. It’s the pro-innocent-life movement.
Tiller didn’t qualify.
Exactly. Unless this turns out to have nothing to do with Tiller's "business", which is incredibly unlikely, Tiller's profession made him a target.
Rationally I see this as doing way more harm than good.
Hope all is well with you and yours.
I’m not. Not at all. But thanks for caring.
Or possibly a professional hit man, hired by someone for whatever reason.
Of course he is. But the breakdown of the rule of law is inevitable when the most extreme form of lawlessness - the wanton butchery of the most defenseless among us - is said to be “legal,” and protected. It’s only a matter of time until all law has lost its meaning, and the wheels completely come off our civilization.
Liberty is the ultimate casualty of the loss of a nation’s reverence for the Creator, and respect for the unalienable right to life of the innocent person who was made in His image.
I agree. All legal means of preventing or restricting abortion are regularly blocked by the abortion lobby and the government, which on top of that actually privileges abortionists by restricting the First Amendment rights of protestors.
That said, this is a terrible thing because it is going to be used to crack down on pro-life people even harder.
This is a sick, vile thread. It should be pulled.
Kind of ironic, isn't it? One person shoots Tiller and kills him and the liberals will paint the whole pro-life movement as domestic terrorists.
Tiller slaughtered how many babies in some of the more gruesome ways a human being can die, and he's the martyr.
Funny how people have no sympathy for a serial killer who murders pretty young college freshmen or young children, but they do for someone who dismembers, scalds to death, or sucks the brains out of pre-born babies.
I will not shed a tear for him if he feels for eternity all the pain he's inflicted on those poor babies and their mothers.
Jeepers, Lazamataz, but from where I sit, it looks pretty clear to me that anarchy already does prevail. A major part of the problem is that most people nowadays cannot tell the difference between what is (allegedly) "lawful" and what justice requires.
Just because outright, objective infanticide has been "legalized" (e.g., late-term abortion, refusal to protect born-alive infants), are we then required to say that infanticide is "just?"
When the law no longer serves justice, then it seems pretty clear to me that a state of de facto anarchy already exists. JMHO FWIW.
Lots of lightening strikes from AGW in your neck of the woods?
Hadn’t heard about that trial. What was the verdict?
Are you endorsing vigilantism?

He was found not guilty.
Sorry, Charlie. You are in a very small minority.
If you will read through the thread, you’ll see that the vast majority of posters are not happy about this and are arguing with the people who are.
A conspiracy such as would be needed for this to work is highly unlikely but one has to wonder how the pro-abortion Obama forces could profit from this.
I bet you are sad that you can’t blame the Mormon church for this one, huh?
Yes, here on Fox.....
Abortion Doctor George Tiller Reportedly Killed at Church

Sadly, though, he probably has an assistant who will be proud to carry on the evil work.
Tragic, maybe. It is the crime of murder, definitely. But if he were alive I’d want to ask him why he loved abortion so much? no sarcasm intended
Well said. I’m afraid it is too late.

I hope they throw the book at the extreme wing of the anti-abortion movement — the wing that believes that bombing clinics and shooting providers is the way to win this debate.
I hope we can use many of the anti-terrorism laws and resources to combat this menace.

Dr. Tiller spent much of his time being persecuted and prosecuted by the wingnut right. To have endured what he did all these years and to be murdered for it is truly a heartbreaking loss.
Hi, my name is Auntie Neo Kawn and I’m a recovering wingnut.

He lived a hero, he knew he was a hero, and he died a hero. He showed the bravery that most military fetishist wingnuts can only dream of. To find someone who will replace him, the second question to ask, after “are you qualified,” is “are you a hero?”

greatness is often best measured by the amount of hatred that one is willing to endure for the sake of protecting their convictions.

“actually, the fear this strikes may thwart some babykillers”
Yup...that’s exactly what happened the last time some abortionists were taken out. Many “doctors” left this field of endeavor and the clinics were bellyaching that they couldn’t find anyone to do hit-jobs on babies.
Well, we all truly know deep down inside that the US Constitution really doesn't mean anything anymore.
It’s Sunday, all the newsies are sleeping off their hangovers.
I strongly disagree.
We do not have to walk on egg shells here.
Tiller deserved to be punished, however:
THE COUNTRY DESERVED A GOVERNMENT STRONG ENOUGH TO PUNISH TILLER UNDER THE RULE OF LAW!
It is our country that failed, in this matter, every bit as much as the shooter failed to let the system work, it is the system, itself, that HAS NOT WORKED -— yet!
