Kansas Abortionist George Tiller was shot today as he was going to Church.

Reichstag Fire.
Yes, something about this just smells. This guy too neatly fits the list of potential domestic terrorists that came out a few weeks ago. The Dems could not have PLANNED a better scenario. White man in 50s, etc., etc. However, if it DOES turn out to be a genuine pro-lifer, this will be fully used against us.
Or maybe just as a matter of confusing the issue among those who attend “liberal” churches...

If only some crazed Muslim actually had done this. The lefties would have quite a dilemma on their hands since the America-hating Islamofascists are one of their favored groups these days.
Yes indeed the Leftists are playing to win and we're still playing not to lose. Just look at all the nervous hand-wringing on this thread, what are THEY going to say, what are THEY going to think, OMG, what are we going to do now, jeez, I tell you, the battle is lost...........
1) Because this is still the murder of a human being; even though the work that Tiller did was utterly and intrinsically evil, the goal of stopping him could never be used to justify this as a means.
2) Without a doubt, this incident will be used to legitimize the pro-abortion crowd's motives -- as others have mentioned, whoever did this might have made a martyr of him.
3) The most important reason: Whoever murdered Tiller likely took away his chance at repentance. That is the most tragic part of all.
Don’t paint me as a defender of this creep. I just think that the opinions expressed here are sickening.
Do you advocate vigilante “law”?
My guess is the church he attended was a liberal one that supported his actions and abortion rights in general.
Nah! They will run double shifts.

“WE JUST LOST FOR FOREVER. THE OTHER SIDE WAS WON.”
+++++++++++=
I truly hope you’re not right about this. We just need to distance ourselves completely from this. Both sides of this debate know that what happened today is wrong. But it doesn’t change the principle that what Tiller did was sick and evil.
I as a pro-lifer who has demonstrated in picket lines - fully distance myself from the extreme vigilantism that has set back our dedicated, mostly wonderful movement today. Let’s continue to fight for the guiding principles of Pro-Life that are found in the Holy Skrit.
With vanity plates?! If so, then whoever hired him needs to get their money back.
Well, as a non-Christian, I would like to see abortion ended. The only time I would allow abortions would be those cases involving incest and/or rape.
I have not been told anything about you. I have not made any threats against you either. Prove it liar.

Oh quit the whining about how persecuted Mormons are. It's not relevant to this thread and nobody wants to hear it.
Some years ago I heard the question posed “If you knew what the furure held and in 1935 were in position to kill Adolph Hitler... Would you?
I’m sorry George Tiller was killed today...
No.
But I don't look a gift horse in the mouth, either.
I'll celebrate this dirtbag's dirtnap.
waggy, don’t be so quick to label Tiller’s killer a murderer. He/she hasn’t been caught yet. So we have no way of knowing whether it was a coldblooded contract killer, or a man or woman deranged by the sorrow of having his/her child killed by Tiller. Or any other variations.
“Murder” implies intent. Tiller was a murderer...he always had the intent of savagely ending a human life.
The person who did this may be guilty of manslaughter, or may be innocent by reason of insanity.
Let’s wait for the trial, HUH?
Since we are all being so broadminded here.
And, this incident will be used by the media to create a backlash against the pro-life movement, even though most opposed to abortion oppose murdering abortion doctors.
Very well said. I agree completely.
Thanks. I read through the Wichita Eagle article. The last paragraph says:
"A Wichita jury ruled in March that he was not guilty of illegal abortion on 19 criminal charges he faced for allegedly violating a state law requiring an "independent" second physician's concurring opinion before performing later term abortions. Immediately following the ruling in this criminal case, the Kansas State Board of Healing Arts made public a similar complaint against Tiller that was originally filed in December 2008."
So there was a different complaint against him for the same thing, and I'm betting it wasn't allowed as evidence in this court trial.
Good riddance to bad rubbish I say.
This person is lying. You can’t just make up stuff about people. I have never threatened anyone on this site ever.
Reichstag Fire, 2009 VERSION...AND NO I AM NOT A CHEESE EATING SURRENDER MONKEY...
So you would allow for the murder of innocent human beings under those circumstances?
Lots of future abortions at the Church.
Tiller was always looking for business.
Twaddle.
This has nothing to do with Mormons and I am not a Mormon. Sorry to dissapoint you.
As far as I am concerned this is taking out the trash since this monster killed more babies than servicemen names etched into the Wall in DC
He was a mass murderer
“Do you advocate vigilante law?”
Sometimes that’s the only law that can be brought to bear.
Most of us who have been involved in politics or the prolife cause, in this area, are well aware of the weird “church” that Tiller attends.
I am not so sure that those who had a personal vendetta, against him, would know as much.
You owe me an apology for slandering me. If I do not get an apology, I will take legal action. You have 24 hours.
While I agree with everything you say about this possibly being manslaughter or temporary insanity, it is still murder and a person who commits murder is a murderer.
“While I won’t celebrate, diminish or glorify his death in any way, Tiller’s murder is not tragic. “
Tiller’s murder is about as tragic as Hitler’s suicide.
Looks like it was Tiller’s turn to be aborted.
Post 222 concisely states my position. To answer your question directly, I do not believe in vigilante law unless there is no other alternative. I do not believe we have reached that point.
You know, there was just a thread about how the dems are waiting for some national tragedy to tighten gun laws.
Watch them use this.
LOL
Stalking folks from thread to thread is verboten.
Thousands of unborn children respectively disagree.
Please don’t get me wrong - I don’t think that this murder was a false-flag operation by the Left / Zer0 / the Illuminati / whomever; I am concerned that it will be exploited by the administration that “never lets a good crisis go to waste.”
My sole consolation is that the oppositon may push too hard, a la Paul Wellstone’s funeral.
Stay away from me.
God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, this he will also reap.
Perfect statement, and they didn’t waste a second in getting it out.
Good work from Operation Rescue.
I don't think that it's intrinsically evil to kill someone like Mr. Tiller with the intention of stopping the mass serial murder of such a person.
However, in looking at the likely consequences of the deed, that it will likely shore up support for legal abortion, that it will bring disrepute to the cause of life, that it will likely further harden the souls of many pro-deathers, that it will likely put off further the day when abortion is banned, the killing of the scumbag seems immoral because of the great evils it brings about.
There may come a time when a critical mass of Americans decides that the rights of unborn children will ultimately only be vindicated through violence. And then there will be war.
What will be done morally during such a war (including the field trials and summary executions of abortionists) will have been immoral before that time.

“He was a mass murderer”
Actually, “mass” intimates large groups. I think he could be better described as a “serial” killer since he killed them one at a time.
