Kansas Abortionist George Tiller was shot today as he was going to Church.

Personally, I think that's ridiculous. I'm sure you agree that Tiller is among the people of this generation most exquisitely suited for Hell, as a consequence of his willful and repeated acts while alive. If you say his soul shouldn't be dispatched to Hell, you are pronouncing God's creation of Hell as punishment as a mistake. You are saying that God should be even more merciful than He is. That is folly and is a basic contradiction of Christian belief.
All I can surmise is that those folks supporting the murder of Tiller believe that the guy who killed Tiller had the gumption to do what those supporting the act lacked the intestinal fortitude to do themselves, at least if you advocate that "preventing the murder of children on a playground" analogy where we are to use all means necessary to stop the madman who was going to kill the children.
It begs the questions: If it is your duty to stop the murder of innocents by all means necessary, why haven't you done what Tiller's killer did yourself? Are you advocating that we all go out and start "whacking" all the folks who perform abortions? Or is there a litmus test as to the type and number they can get away with before being "whacked"?
Always nice to have someone else do the dirty work for you. < /sarcasm>
I wonder if he was one of those “prayfully pro-choice” Christians... with their fingers crossed behind their backs...
Was this someone who was very proficient with guns?
Maybe he was someone who was angry about a number of things, and chose Tiller to take it out on.
He may not have been active in pro-life...
He talks about “civil society” and what makes a society break down.
Frankly, I do not think you have the courage to face the obvious, based on your post.
I said clearly that I did not support this action.
I also state that I understand the frustrations of the impatient, on the anti-abortion side.
When the government behaves as a tyrant, placing abortionists on a pedestal, denying the right to life, denying the 10th Amendment rights of the States, CHAOS follows.
You need to find some strength, somewhere, to face the situation we are in.
The “statists” and the tyrants have pushed our backs against the wall, KNOWING FULL WELL THAT SOME, IN OUR FOLD, WILL NOT BEHAVE WELL, in the face of tyranny.
They will then use those “examples” to justify even more tyranny.
Again, find some courage, somewhere, to face the situation that the left has created.
Biblical justification of war and capital punishment rest on the principle of legitimate rulers, even tyrants (Romans 13) can have legitimacy and revolt against them is justified (like war) only as a last resort and with proportionate means etc.
That’s not what happened here. This was vigilante justice and it violates the rule of law. Both anarchy and abortion are evil. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
And he who has taken one life, even Tiller’s, has murdered the whole world.
I am saying nothing of the sort.
Every person has the opportunity to repent and receive salvation at any time. Though I doubt Tiller did this, I sincerely hope that he did.
This does nothing to hurt the pro-life cause? Why SHOULD it? The cause is just. Just because one person commits murder doesn’t mean the cause is wrong. And if the shooter was “pro-life,” he was kidding himself.
Don’t fall for this “Oh, we’re screwed mentality.”
That is simply wrong. The cause is just. Every just cause attracts unstable people. That doesn’t mean the cause is not just. THINK before you claim all is lost or that people of goodwill are going to not use their brains to think this through.
I’ve been saying this and saying this.
This is the behavior of the radical left-wing. A “pro-lifer” does not use murder as a tool to advocate pro-life.
If anything, the administration is behind this.
“Why is the death of a satanic worshipper tragic?”
Because once dead, they no longer can choose forgiveness and salvation through Jesus.
Evil exists, people don’t want to accept it.
Cogent..many here are obviously good works sorts...I waws never taught to pray for Hitler or Manson as a southern baptist lad
' thankfully we were taught to pray for folks who deserved our prayers
Not really. Tiller went fast. He did not have to feel the agonies of the partial birth abortion technology he inflicted on his victims. He did not have the base of his skull pierced by an instrument, and then have his brains sucked out until his skull collapsed.
OTOH, it may have been a head shot with a large caliber bullet. Even so, that would have been quicker and less painful than what he did to 60,000 innocent babies.
If just ONE babys life is saved by Tillers death, that is a good thing.
The cliches aside this will cause a net loss of life. As another poster mentioned the pro-life movement was really beginning to gain some ground. This will hurt that and that will cost lives.
As the Jewish proverb goes He who has saved one life has saved the whole world.
That's from the Koran. :(
It's the name of a mercenary group from a novel called Necromancer. If you had the ability to use a search function you might be able to find out.
What's a Wardaddy? You done yet or should we go on? I have all night.
“Im sorry but I feel no sympathy at all. Absolutely none.”
Me either.
they will once they've been around it up close and personal
I do feel bad that anyone is murdered.
At the same time, I know that a murderer was murdered today.
Nonetheless, “vengeance is mine; I will repay.” is the Word of God. Someone should not have taken that vengeance into their own hands. They have themselves entered the ranks of “murderer”, and they will answer to God for it.
KAKE is just now reporting on TV that someone has been arrested near Gardner, Kansas.
“revolt against them is justified (like war) only as a last resort and with proportionate means etc.”
When is enough, enough? Do we wait for the ovens to be turned on?
“This was vigilante justice and it violates the rule of law. Both anarchy and abortion are evil. Two wrongs dont make a right.”
Vigilante’s are bad but we are no longer a nation under the rule of law. Our own govt ignores the laws they don’t like all the time. They break the law and cover for their cohorts. They subvert the law and twist its meaning for their own benefit.
The only people with respect for the law are conservatives with some exceptions.
I fully agree.
Suspicious posters on here. The media will blame the pro-life movement for every abortion in every country on earth.
Posters that think “we’re done” believes the media makes the agenda and the policy.
Keep us posted.
No it won’t. Nothing will ever silence the prolife movement. Not as long as I or Jim Robinson or a hundred thousand others still have breath in our bodies.
That is a solemn vow.
LOL...you started it son.
But I’ll give you last insult.
We are disrupting an otherwise very civil thread...lol
Wardaddy is a nickname...it’s a dark humour thing...and it’s not what folks think actually
and it begins. I doubt this will be the last. I have to wonder if a politician will be next? People are afraid, they are losing their country and everything else. When that happens, people tend to feel they have nothing to lose. Dangerous times, my FRiends. Sad times.
Had the Kansas, and the country, done the right thing and outlawed the murder of almost born babies, this would not have happened. I do not condone the murder of this man, but can’t help thinking of the babies who were scheduled to be killed in the next few weeks.
Claiming that you are any less suited to Hell than another is folly and is a basic contradition of Christian belief.
Good post. Really good.
I don’t think we’re done by any means, but this is going to give them that hook they’ve been looking for (unless it turns out that this killing had nothing to do with abortion, which is always a possibility).
They just also reported Wichita Police will have a briefing at 4pm.
Amen
The only thought I might add is that if this is due to his performing abortions I hope the killer gives himself up before some innocent people are hurt. Also, I hope that at the trial the killer is able to present why he did it.
KAKE, with a link there to live coverage.
I had to change my old "war----" handle because of the same sort of (often willful) misconceptions.
Then repent and pray.
good post....we haven’t had a fast thread like this since November
I wonder who, and I wonder if we will learn of a motive.
We’re a Country of laws. The analogies with reference to RHINOs and OBL are irrelevant.
Killing a fetus in the womb is legal. Murdering the authorized killer of the fetus is not legal. That’s the bottom line.
It’s likely that political agenda in favor of abortion will gain from this incident. That won’t help the unborn.
You need to get some courage.
This is an important current event.
The thread allows comments from all sides.
I see much to disagree with.
I see much to agree with.
I see little that I would describe as “vile” -—
I see nothing that should be pulled.
Chaplain, thank you for clearly stating that.
That's often how these things are written to play out.
He's a liberal ELCA lutheran. They don't care about abortion.
I knew someone really brilliant would come up with that.
Congratulations, Bright Bulb!
Nothing like wrapping up all the bitter clingers in one fell swoop taking care of the gun issues and abortion issue all in one neat little edict by the Bama, of course he will be doing it because of the serious outcry from the populace for justice.
Something tugs at my intellect that says something is fishy here. Obamacide?
