OOOHHH! Are you afraid he might see it? I’ll bet you were born without a humerus, idiot.

“I agree with you. Even so, he should have been dealt with by the judicial system, not a vigilante.”

I agree, but I was still expecting him to be taken by a lightning strike.

Yes, I am feeling pretty pro-choice right now. The suspect obviously was just exercising his freedom to kill another human being.

“and most Muslims in the West don’t agree with violence “

25% of English Muslims ‘supported’ what the tube bombers did in murdering some 50+ people there. That is DISTURBINGLY high. (sorry, slightly off topic.)

“The possibility of violence gives people pause. That is all I am saying.”

Are you saying this is a good result? I’m saying, I don’t want to side in any way shape or form with Muslim terror tactics, direct or indirect!

Listen we have the weight of truth on our side. Why are we playing like little heroes here, when we have a much stronger more successful message then that. We were already battling Tiller on every turn - do you think most doctors want to deal with that? That would have been sufficient to accomplish 95% of what this joker did related to abortion doctors themselves - without descending the whole movement into associations with terrorism.

That is something I am NOT WILLING TO DO.

On this, I stand on Scripture and the Constitution (the rule of law).

Oh come on! Don’t be so darn negative! For all we know, the killer is a “DailyKos” visitor that finally couldn’t hold back anymore. We’ve no clue where any of this is going to go. I know there’s a far greater chance that the killer is a rabid left-winger than a possible right-winger.

The suspect's name is Scott Roeder.

Interestingly, someone by the same name posted the following on Operation Rescue's website a couple of years ago:

"Bleass everyone for attending and praying in May to bring justice to Tiller and the closing of his death camp."

I would say it is only “extreme” civil disobedience and even the death of a few abortionists that has dramatically reduced the number of docs will to go into the abortion industry.

People may not understand, agree with or like your statement but it is most likely true.

Ok..wait a minute..I misread your are correct in the sense of delivering early or removing Fallopian tubes. But that is not abortion. Abortion is the direct killing of an innocent pre-born human being. And the Church (as I have just shown) teaches that there are no circumstances where a Catholic can support provisions that allow for abortion (eg. rape, incest, medical reasons). compromise.

You mistake guilt and shame for the recognition of the blow-back there will be for the pro-life cause, if it is indeed one of our own that killed him. media smears, hateful and ignorant? yes. expected? of course. It’s called knowing your enemy. It is regrettable when someone from our side gives them ammunition to use against us.

When our leaders debate war and peace issues, we do not come down with an iron clad, “my way or the highway” -— “you are with us or against us” doctrine.

On death penalty issues, we allow the States to decide, and the States determine if they want the penalty or not, and under which circumstances.

NAME another issue that has ever come up in history, that we were morally required to treat as an “all or nothing, no compromise” issue?

Even in the Civil War, Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation only freed the slaves in REBEL States, not the border states or the loyal states!

Incremental ism is morally justified, on the path to a desired goal! More to the point, not that you have to support every decision the Catholic Church comes up with, but the Catholic Bishops have often supported legislation that OR and ALL and the other "purists" oppose! We need to BANKRUPT the abortion industry. We should do so by passing as many restrictions as we can, every time we get the chance, but you and people like you actually have served to make George Tiller a rich man!

“Jesus is the way, not Moses.”

yes Jesus is the Son of God and is the way. Moses was a man of God and a good servant.

It is a mans duty to protect his family.

“Your ability to comprehend analogies appears to be nil.”

As is yours, to properly judge a country that it seems you haven’t found time to do much FOR. This is a DAMNED fine country! Perfect? Not even close. But many people have seen some truly bad ones on the US Government tour-plan. Some saw NAZI Germany *for real*. Go find one of those guys and tell them your half-baked theory that America is as bad as NAZI Germany. If you arent too ashamed. But i know you won’t. And i know why.

another point:

We are not “negotiating away” any rights, we are establishing rights, or trying to, baby by baby.

The all or nothing approach is prideful, stupid and immoral!

Having trouble keeping your own posts straight, are you?

No. (Stating what I thought was obvious,) my response to your post was a correction for clarification of my first post, with the changes in boldface.

Failing to recognize the power of incrementalism is one of the biggest failings of the conservative movement.

You don’t play football by throwing a hail mary touchdown pass every play. You don’t play baseball by trying to hit a home run every at bat.

Abortion isn’t a game and millions of lives have been lost. We can use more than one tactic.

“When the molestor and his escort passed by the phone booth, he was greeted with a bullet to the head by the father of the boy. When all was said and done, the father was NOT charged with murder, but with justifiable homicide. I see a similarity here. No sympathy needed for this guy Tiller, please.”

How in the heck have I shown Tiller sympathy? What? I have no sympathy for the heinous murderer. Trust me on that.

That is a completely separate issue from whether this was a justifiable homicide in a court.

It is also a completely separate issue with what our youth will believe about pro-lifers, rightly or wrongly based on this one bozo's self aggrandizement (”I think I'll become a hero today...”)

If you look at it totally objectively, Osama Bin Laden and Sadam Hussein murdered thousands of innocent people. Who, other than a Demrat, would mourn the loss of these cold blooded killers? Now we have a situation of someone who targeted only the most innocent, tiny babies. Even the most sadistic dictator didn’t exclusively prey on vulnerable infants.

“but I had a friend, a Christian lady, who had to have an abortion on medical grounds.”

Exceedingly rare for that to occur. Most of the time the womans body will reject the baby if its harming her. As one doctor/congressman said “in 20 years of delivering babies I have never seen this happen”.
