Statement From Planned Parenthood
KBMC-TV Kansas City ^ | 5.31.09

Posted on 05/31/2009 5:41:05 PM PDT by libh8er

"..Dr. Tiller’s murder is an enormous loss for our movement and for women and their families across America. He provided abortions to women late in their pregnancy and under some of the most difficult medical circumstances. Dr. Tiller had been harassed by abortion opponents for much of his career – his clinic was burned down, he was shot in both arms by an abortion protestor, and he was recently targeted for investigation by Phill Kline in Kansas, with a jury acquittal coming just a few months ago. None of this stopped George Tiller from his commitment to providing women and their families with abortion care that others were unwilling to offer."

"Planned Parenthood’s paramount concerns, as always, are the safety of our staff and patients. We’re grateful law enforcement has a suspect in custody. Nevertheless, our security staff is working closely with law enforcement personnel and is taking all appropriate steps to secure our sites."

"We will miss Dr. Tiller as a friend and colleague and as a colleague dedicated to serving women and families."

I wonder how long it will be before “late abortion” Doctors are extinct? I will not worry about their demise...but do NOT encourage killing... That is almost as bad as the killing of the unborn!

Yes, Tiller was revered at the same level as Margaret Sanger. Perhaps he will someday appear on a postage stamp. Sickening.

If a “partial-birth” abortion were performed on a Gitmo prisoner, it would be considered the worst form of torture.

Of course... but would you actually do that? Not me, and not the killing of an abortion Doctor. I despise both but certainly could not live with myself if I took a life unnecessarily.. (self defense)...

Or any woman after it was "scientifically" determined she would give birth to a gay.

Abortion Care.

Seems like an oxymoron.

In spite of the fact that this man was either a heinous monster or a typically deluded “do-gooder” Liberal useful idiot, this murder only serves to bolster the pro-abortion cause.

Tiller has become a martyr for the pro-abortion cause.

To the killer who murdered him, thanks a lot for setting the pro-life cause back YEARS.

In the end Tiller’s murderer will have caused more babies to be murdered than even Tiller.

Planned Parenthood and abortionists are preying on vunerable women who are afraid and facing the possibility of a child with special needs or an untimed pregnancy and they are considered heros.

Perhaps he just should have been waterboarded, although think of the outrage if that had happened. 49,551,703 abortions since Roe v Wade - that’s about 1 in 6 of every American citizen. Sad where the libs priorities lie.

Tiller has become a martyr for the pro-abortion cause.

Not defending Tiller's not entirely undeserved execution - it was wrong, but if Tiller has become a 'martyr' to his side, so would Scott Roeder to the other. The difference being Tiller was a state sanctioned mass murderer of innocents, while Scott Roeder took out only one guilty.

It is not our place to judge this inhuman Tillman...God will take care of that. I do not condone what happened, however, my heart breaks for the hundreds of innocent babies this man has taken the life of.

I do not concern myself at all for the loss of this killer! That is what he is no matter what side of this debate you come down on. He killed babies that could have survived outside the womb. That is murder! Murder! Don't be fooled by the heart-wrenching stories from the family. Did any one of them try to stop him?

Good riddance to this inhuman murderer!

"..Dr. Tiller’s murder is an enormous loss for our movement and for women and their families across America."

B.S. They will use his death to make him into a martyr for the cause. I'm glad the S.O.B. is dead, but don't condone the guy's murder. I only wish it'd been a natural disaster, like hot molten lava randomly falling from the sky. That would've been sweet.

Difficult medical circumstances? Like, the babies just refused to die?

Twilight Zone episode when aliens landed on earth and humans got hold of a book of theirs. When they finally translated it, "To Serve Man" was a cookbook.

No jury and no acquittal for him anymore. Just The Judge and the sentence of guilty, enter into eternal damnation.

“He provided abortions to women late in their pregnancy and under some of the most difficult medical circumstances.”

If they were the most difficult medical circumstances why was he doing it in a clinic instead of a hospital? Perhaps most hospital staffs would have been outraged by what he did to babies.
