(IsraelNN.com) U.S. envoy to the Middle East George Mitchell will arrive in Israel next Monday to meet with Israeli and Palestinian Authority officials. Mitchell will reportedly meet with Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and wants to know in particular why Israel has refused to freeze construction in Judea and Samaria and recognize the need for a PA state.

What is he, the landlord? Bibi should reschedule, go to India for military cooperation talks, and let Mitchell meet with his aide instead. THAT would send a clear message that Israel does not need the U.S.
Too polite. They should have Mitchell fly all the way there only to hear that Bibi isn’t available. That for time management purposes he’s trying to limit meetings to those who support his country; with world leaders that have credibility, integrity, and backbone to do what is right.

George Mitchell was a lobbyist to parts of the Arab world, including Saudi Arabia, when he was named by Obama to give Israel a jolt, if he could. So far, he is doing poorly.

Exactly. The whole "settlements" business is a sham. There are Arab settlements throughout Israel and no one seems to demand they be rooted out. If the Palis were sincere they wouldn't mind having a few Jewish settlements in the midst of their "State," would they? Fat chance of that ever happening, of course.
Mitchell figures, if Obozo can seize General Motors and tell them how to run an auto company, he Mitchell certainly can be allowed to run a small country like Israel. After all, "He brought peace to Northern Ireland!"
