Conversation with a Public School Bred America Hater.

Posted on 06/02/2009 7:55:41 PM PDT by Lloyd Marcus

Hi Folks, proud black conservative Lloyd Marcus here. Years ago, I was outraged when a dear white friend said her son came home from middle school full of guilt for slavery. I thought, “Good grief, this kid was basically born yesterday. What on earth should he feel guilty about?” But, this is the liberal “white men are evil” and “America sucks” garbage he was being taught in school.

Fast forward to today. My friend's son, “Jay”, not his real name, is a young man. He contacted me on Facebook. Jay wrote that my writings make him “scratch his head”, but he still considers me a friend. Jay's Facebook page is full of “f” bombs describing his hatred for Capitalism, Republicans and America.

I wrote Jay asking him to please tell me what has shaped his negative view of all things American. His response is full of distortions. Here are a few of Jay's beliefs.

“...my grandfather grew up on a reservation I have a lot of animosity for some of the actions of our founders.”

“...capitalism...a very small percent of the population can live in Romanesque luxury while the vast majority lives in abject poverty.” “I as a Marxist believe that the working class, the very cogs of society are solely responsible for the wealth of a nation and should reap the benefit as opposed to the wealthy CEOs who toil not.”

“...whether or not all republicans are white supremacists, all white supremacists are republicans.”

I assume Jay's last comment is in response to Republican's opposition to Obama's supreme court nominee, Sonia Sotomayor. Sotomayor made a racist comment regarding white men.

“wonders why all of a sudden the republicans are so concerned about racism? They didn't seem so concerned when the KKK endorsed their candidate for president... f--king two faced fascists!”

Sadly, this bright young man has erroneous views. And, why is he so angry? The seeds of Jay's hatred for his country were planted in middle school.

I realize many of you Soccer moms and dads are busy earning a living. You don't have time to closely follow politics. You only catch sound bites from a liberal bias mainstream media.

Meanwhile, in elementary schools to colleges across America, leftists are contaminating the minds of our youths. Their message is consistent, “America and white males are responsible for all of the evils in the world”.

Secular Progressives have launched a WAR against America and traditional values. Case in point, the high tech lynching of Miss California, Carrie Prejean, for HUMBLY saying she felt marriage should be between a man and woman. Secular Progressives said, “How dare this dumb “b” express such an archaic and extreme bigoted belief”.

Who are Secular Progressives? Usually, snobby Ivy League educated libs who think people who believe in God and have traditional values are ignorant and beneath them. They view minorities as inferior victims who can achieve ONLY with their intervention via Affirmative Action and lowering standards. Secular Progressives chastise Americans for not thinking more 'globally' as everyone knows Europeans are far more sophisticated and enlightened than us backwards Americans. Despite the fact consumers save an average of 17%, Secular Progressives would NOT be caught dead in a Walmart.

In typical liberal weird thinking, while claiming to care about the little guy, libs despise Walmart which genuinely helps working class families. Libs say, “ Evil Walmart drove out the mom and pops stores”. Well, following that logic, let's get rid of cell phones and bring back all those telephone operators who lost their jobs.

At a fund raiser with his Secular Progressive friends, Obama mocked us folks with traditional values. He accused us of clinging to “God and guns”.

Secular Progressives also consider everyone possessing a heartfelt patriotism and love for their country as 'middle America yahoos', naïve about how we are destroying the planet and robbing the world.

Parents, you MUST get involved in the PTA. Get right thinking common sense candidates elected to the school board. As the song says, “The children are our future”. Our children MUST be taught the REAL history of this incredible, astonishingly successful and great experiment known as America. We can no longer PASSIVELY allow our children to be indoctrinated by Secular Progressives with their angry, bitter liberal perverted view of our great country.

Good post....just out of curiousity how old is Jay now?. I want to send your article to some friends and family and want them to have some context. Oh, and by the way, have you heard of Wayne Perryman’s book, Unfounded Loyalty? Jay might want to read it and get educated. Thx.

Right, just like that great Republican Klan Senator, Robert Byrd.

You got that right, man. I would say that the vast majority of the racism can be pinned on the progressives due to their soft bigotry of low expectation (wasn't that a Rush saying?).

"all white supremacists are republicans."

From what I have seen (on the MSM) about white supremacists, it would appear that none of them are Republicans. If any of them were, I'm sure the (Democrat) MSM would have pointed that out.

Good luck with that PTA thing ... doesn’t work any more in my area. It’s been completely coopted by parents who are also NEA and/or others of similar leftist beliefs.

Jay’s animosity sounds similar to Obama’s resentment of the Brits for the mistreatment (alleged) of his grandfather. Fascinating for a guy who didn’t ever know his own father (while making a fortune writing about him), much less grandfather.

Back, I think it was around the liberal carter year’s, there were young people all over the country who joined groups like the Monies, or what ever they were called. And these young people were brain washed into giving these groups every thing they had. And those brainwashed young people would look like the walking starving dead while they stood around in airports and on street corners begging for pennies to give to their dear leaders.

Their parents had to hire people to kidnap them and deprogram them. When these young people were first kidnapped, they hated their parents for spiriting them away from the groups. But after their deprogramming, these same young people couldn’t figure out how they could have let themselves be brainwashed, and how they could have let themselves fall into such a thing.

Liberalism reminds me of that brainwashing. Only on a mass scale. And liberal’s act the very same way the brainwashed did back then toward anyone who tried to tell them the truth. That is, before they were deprogrammed.

The presence of dads (granddads, uncles, older brothers, cousins) is critical for young men. More male teachers would be an incredible boon to society. The value of positive male role models for young men is incalculable. Can’t be highlighted enough.

One of my own sons suggested we should lighten up on Obama because he had two “dip$h!t” parents. I tried to explain that the product of that environment is permanently emotionally damaged; we have already seen the result of an emotionally damaged president. Don’t know why we have to go through it again. But here we are :(

We really will never achieve equality until we recognize that equal opportunity does not guarantee equal results. The unfortunate “victims” that carry around the chip on their shoulders against those that they perceive as being advantaged transcends gender, race and religion. They have in common the liberal socialist world view that dooms them to forever being exploited by DemonRAT socialists that only need them for their vote.

His comments would be funny if they weren't so sad.

A young and impressionable mind is easily brainwashed.

What frosts me is that charlatans like Obama would take advantage of their innocence.

Even if it makes Jay angry you should try to tell him the truth.

“Parents, you MUST get involved in the PTA. Get right thinking common sense candidates elected to the school board. As the song says, “The children are our future”.”

No, you must tell parents and pastors to do whatever is necessary to take their children out of government schools. They need to give up their favorite middle-class welfare entitlement in order to save their children, their churches, their communities, and this country. Half measures will not work, and we should never ever accept any excuses. There are lots of ways of providing an education outside of government schools at a low cost. Most people are just too lazy to find out.

Moreover, if 30% or so actually did this, the entire corrupt and decaying government school system would go into terminal financial cardiac arrest. We also need to mobilize against bond levies wherever the government school kleptocracy seeks even more money. Joining the PTA and wasting time on school board elections will accomplish nothing. School reform has been tried for 50 years and it has done nothing but hand more money to the same liberals who are destroying our children and our future.

I always thought the loneliest conservative was the black conservative.

The names libs come up for black conservatives is as vile as it gets.

Lloyd, I know a young man who it would appear is on the verge of becoming a conservative. Great guy, works hard and recently some of his comments ( many out of exasperation ) led me to tell him to google Thomas Sowell. I mentioned he should pick up Justice Thomas’s memoir as well.

He wrote Sowell’s name down but I wish I had more to give the guy. Can you post the web sites of other folks like yourself and Sowell who could help him along the path of truth? I'd copy them and pass them along.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

No, no, no.....For 50 or more years parents have been trying to reform the irredeemable government schools. Stupidity is trying and failing to the impossible over, and over, and over again! Why would this year’s or next year’s futile attempts at reform be any different?

Government schools need two things. We must starve them of both. Government schools need:

1) Students
2) Money

Parents must get their children out of the government schools immediately and encourage their neighbor to do the same. They must set up private alternatives so that every child in this nation could have an chance to attend a free, conservative, and private school.

Then they must organize with their neighbors to see that every government K-12 school in the nation is SHUT DOWN! Permanently!

“I blame the parents”

You are right!

If they don’t have a father that takes the time to guide them, they will find a father figure somewhere else — sometimes with disastrous results.

... And, you know, these kids are now having kids of their own!

For work, I had to take a tour that included an African American Heritage building. Our all female tour group ( thirteen white and one black) was first escorted into the "From Africa to Slavery" room by our male guide. On the wall of this room was a map of Africa with "Africa is a continent not a country" over the top. Our guide said "Africa is a continent not a country". Believing him to be referring to gov. Palin, I said "I don't know anyone who thinks it is." He said "A lot of people do." I said "No one I know does." I guess the look I gave him let him know I knew the truth.
While he was telling us about Africa I asked if he could name the country in Africa with the only city named after a U.S. President. "I can't" he said. I told him it was Monrovia, Liberia. I said "You do know the History of Liberia?" He said "No. I don't know about that." I told him about Liberia. I asked him if he knew that less than 8% of Africans shipped to the New World came to the United States. No. He didn't know that. Asked if he knew about blacks who were slave owners. No. Didn't know that.
I bring this up because young school children are routinely marched into this place and given this "tour" by someone who only tells them one quarter of the story of slavery. Seems to me, if the "Fairness Doctrine" is reinstated, the place to start would be government schools and African American Heritage museums.

soft bigotry of low expectation (wasn't that a Rush saying?).

Actually it was George W. Bush who said it during his first campaign. It is such a good sound bite, so true and do obvious a slam on limousine liberals that the media never picked up on it. It just never got repeated, same as other great lines he said.

Republicans who do have a microphone (congressmen, for example) seem to think that something only needs to be said once, which is just ridiculous. Anything that the left wants to get through to the American people will be repeated every half hour on radio news for three days, similarly on TV. This includes a grammar mistake by a Republican or a lie masquerading as a truth by a Dem.

Yep!

The liberal world-view, by its very nature, defies rational thought. A rational world-view would dictate that you should judge someone by their character, not by their race, religion or sex.

Now, we have whole groups of people who insist on being judged by their race, religion or sex, and expect preferential treatment because of it. Liberals think equal rights means special rights.

-----

[From the first legal paper written for and distributed by the federal government to explain the U.S. Constitution to the American People]

By equality, in a democracy, is to be understood, equality of civil rights, and not of condition. Equality of rights necessarily produces inequality of possessions; because, by the laws of nature and of equality, every man has a right to use his faculties in an honest way, and the fruits of his labor, thus acquired, are his own. But some men have more strength than others; some more health; some more industry; and some more skill and ingenuity, than others; and according to these, and other circumstances the products of their labor must be various, and their property must become unequal. The rights of property must be sacred, and must be protected; otherwise there could be no exertion of either ingenuity or industry, and consequently nothing but extreme poverty, misery, and brutal ignorance.
St. George Tucker, "View of the Constitution of the United States" 1803
Of the Several Forms of Government, Section VI [Page 40-41]

This is my duty. I take it seriously and intend to do it well.

Parents, you MUST get involved in the PTA. Get right thinking common sense candidates elected to the school board. As the song says, “The children are our future”.

THIS is a complete waste of my time and will get in the way of my teaching my kids. Why spend all of my free time and energy trying to undo the damage public schools are doing and the to 'fix' the schools. It takes far less time and effort to avoid that damage in the first place. Instead I will direct all of my energies to teaching my kids right the first time. Homeschooling will give me and my wife a lot more free time than dinking around at PTAs and boards trying to bail a sinking ship. My little homeschool motor boat is faster than the public school Titanic ever was.

I was working at a concert for a very liberal folksinger (not protecting the name. I genuinely don’t remember it). It was the usual liberal/commie crowd. Two men had shirts that read, “Capitalism is the devil’s wet dream.” Knowing there had been no free tickets given out for this concert and having seen the high prices for it, I had to hold my tongue not to ask how much they paid for their tickets — and the Obama stump speech.

“From Africa to Slavery room by our male guide.”

Did you ask him if he was aware that slavery still exists, in some parts of Africa?

No. But I did ask it of the others in the group where he could hear. I also let them know that African chieftains were upset over whites outlawing slavery.
