Saxby Chambliss' Weak Excuse for Not Challenging 0bama's Birth Certificate
Email ^ | June 2, 2009 | Saxby Chambliss

Posted on 06/03/2009 5:27:09 AM PDT by The Sons of Liberty

Thank you for contacting me to share your concerns over President Obama's citizenship. I appreciate hearing from you.

Article II, Section 1, Clause 5 of the United States Constitution states, "No Person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States." President Obama demonstrated his citizenship during his campaign by circulating copies of his birth certificate, which showed he was born in Hawaii on August 4, 1961.

On December 8, 2008, the Supreme Court declined to hear a case filed by a New Jersey attorney, Mr. Donofrio, regarding President Obama's citizenship. Unlike many of the lawsuits regarding President Obama's citizenship, which claim he was really born on foreign soil, Mr. Donofrio's case concedes that President Obama was born in Hawaii but contends he still held foreign citizenship at birth. Mr. Donofrio's lawsuit argues that since President Obama's father was a Kenyan citizen and therefore subject to the jurisdiction of the United Kingdom at the time of President Obama's birth, then Obama was a British citizen at birth and not eligible to be President of the United States.

Another attorney, Mr. Berg, has filed a lawsuit regarding President Obama's citizenship and is waiting to hear whether the Supreme Court will take up the case or not. A federal judge in Eastern Pennsylvania threw out Mr. Berg's lawsuit in October, saying he lacked legal standing to bring the challenge since he could not show he faced individual harm even if he could prove his claims about President Obama's citizenship. The judge did not get to the merits of the case. Mr. Berg is appealing the standing issue to the Supreme Court.

If a person is born in the United States, a certificate of live birth issued where one is born is sufficient proof of U.S. citizenship. The certificate, confirmed by the Hawaii Department of Health as authentic, shows that President Obama was born in Hawaii.

With Sotomayor's nomination pending, I once again questioned Chambliss on 0bama's eleigibility, since before he starts packing his thugs on the court, this should be settled. This is his weak response that could've been written by the democratic mouthpieces.

It is an excellent example of a non response response.

Hey Sons! You have Saxby confused with some other dynamic, forceful and inspired leaders America has always depended on. Mottos like Missouri'a "SHOW ME" or New Hampshire's "Live Free or Die" were not born at cocktail parties or fellowship halls.

Our good Georgia Senator simply put is not the warrior you are looking for. Have you called on Senator Byrd's office?

The certificate, confirmed by the Hawaii Department of Health as authentic, shows that President Obama was born in Hawaii.

You should write back to him and ask him to show you specifically where the Hawaii Department of Health said that or ,for that matter, ever officially commented on the online COLB itself. (I am sure he will point to the half-assed statement Okobo made - ignoring the second part of her statement where she said the Director couldn't tell for sure what was represented on the online posting )

Saxby Chambliss - my senator from Georgia. Had to have a woman, SARAH PALIN, fly in to help him win the run-off last year. I was at one of the rallies. It was as if Saxby was invisible. Everyone wanted to see Sarah. He probably hates
her for it but was so desperate to remain a senator that he
suffered the necessary evil of consorting with real conservatives in order to maintain his senate seat. What a guy!

If a real conservative would run against Chambliss in SIX YEARS, he/she could win in this state.

But we need to focus on getting a republican in the governor’s seat after Perdue for this reason: If one of our senator’s dies in office, we need a republican governor in power in order to appoint a republican to replace them.

That’s really all you’ll ever get on the subject. The vast majority of the public and politcians think this is looney-bin territory and I very much agree. It has been settled to everyone’s satisfaction except the wackos, who will never, ever accept any birth certificate, even if it was passed around to every person individually, hand to hand. Enough credible people have seen it and verified it to satisfy 99.99% of the people in the world. I know someone will ask me for proof that it has been verified but y’all know it has been. Get real.

Initially, I too thought that this was a stretch, but as time has passed, 0bama has spent a fortune ($800,000+) hiding his birth certificate, I have come to believe ther may be something there.

"Methinks he doth protest too much." The question is NOT settled and is not just the comain of the "looney-bin" as you call them, when more and more people want an answer and he continues to hide it.

Let's make that a little more accurate:

It has been settled to everyone’s satisfaction except the wackos those who haven't guzzled the Obama Kool-Aid and those who don't have the guts to stand up for the constitution and the law of the land.

Despite what you and “99.99% of the people in the world” may have been led to believe by Obama’s supporters at KOS via their doctored documents or in the drive by media (same group), the original certificate has NEVER been produced.

What you do have is a statement by a Hawaiian court official that she has seen something that fits the COB requirements for Hawaii. End of story.

What you say is simply not true. There is no such verification. If there was you could point it out. Instead you engage in unsubstantiated hearsay by asserting that a lot of people have seen it and we’all should know it.

If you could just name one actual such verification it might lead to a rational argument. Your statement, as it is, makes no sense.

We need to hammer away RELENTLESSLY at ONE question: Why has this “Most Transparent” President spent twice as much money as I will ever earn in my lifetime to keep America from seeing the document that is locked in the Hawaiian governor’s safe?

WHAT IS HE AFRAID TO LET AMERICA SEE?????

Recently, May 2009, White House press secretary Gibbs responded mockingly to a WorldNetDaily reporter who asked why Obama won't release his long form birth certificate, the one with the names of the birth hospital and birth doctor on it.

To me, Gibbs' mocking and confusing answer raised more questions than it answered.

1. Gibbs said that the birth certificate was "provided" by Hawaii.

a. What did Gibbs mean by "provided"?

b. Gibbs makes it sound as if Hawaii sent Obama a copy of his birth certificate out of the kindness of its heart; that is, Hawaii officials one day simply decided to send Obama his short form birth certificate just to be nice.

c. However, we know that Hawaii does not "provide" birth certificates to persons just because it feels like it.

d. We know that Hawaii ONLY "provides" copies of birth certificates to persons who REQUEST them, and only to the person whose name is on the birth certificate, or to his very close relatives.

e. So, who requested this short form birth certificate in 2007? It looks more and more that it was Obama himself.

f. Obama's birth certificate that he mentions in his book: Wasn't that certificate also "provided" by the state of Hawaii, so why didn't Obama put that birth certificate on the internet? Did the President of the United States unbelievably lose his birth certificate?

2. "Certification" by Hawaii : What in the world was Gibbs talking about when he said that the birth certificate on the inter net received a "certification" by Hawaii? How does a Hawaiian birth certificate displayed on the internet earn a "certification" by the state of Hawaii? Was the "certification" put in writing for all the world to see? If it was, I didn't see it.

3. Yes, in my opinion, Gibbs' mocking answer to the WorldNetDaily reporter's birth certificate question raised more questions than it answered.

"...a certificate of live birth issued where one is born is sufficient proof of U.S. citizenship."

Perhaps...

But a COLB does nothing to ensure that the child is a natural born citizen -- neither of whose parents can bear allegiance to any foreign state.

Bob:
It hasn't been settled and none of the information has been verified in a legal or lawful manner.

I was adopted at the age of 7 and know very much what those documents look like. I had to produce them for my passport and still have a copy of my long form Birth Certificate in my safe.

The document posted on the web is both altered and fake. I also have a short form certificate and the one Obama claims to be genuine falls short in so many categories.

Additionally, the information on Obama’s short form BC is well... BS. His race would not have categorized as “African”, it would have categorized as Negro/Black.

The only reason to call out his race as “African” is because he was not born here, but in Kenya. That would be the only rationale for calling him African and would be consistent with a short form BC for someone not born in the USA.

He is therefore “A Kenyan of African Descent”. He may also not even be a US citizen. Which is why we also want to see his college transcripts and admissions.

He was dormed with people of other nations(Indonesia or Pakistan, I forget which). You are dormed with people of similar background culture to ease the socialization process and shared values. Why would he be dormed with people from other nations and cultures?

He was dormed with foreign nationals because he claimed to be a foreign national so as to yield better terms for admission and college loans.

Barry Sotero is “African” because his mother claimed that is where he was born.

It’s been done over and over. Birthers just keep denying anything was proved. People don’t have to keep looking up proofs over and over. As Obama must know there is no end to “proving” it with the birthers. Any sane person would just let ‘em rant and get on with life. I don’t know if he’s sane but I believe he was born in a U.S. state and that’s the end of it for me.

You say that it’s been done over and over again but you are unable to point to a single such instance. You are rather transparent, don’t you think. You cannot show a single instance of that which you say has been done over and over again. Why would any rational person trust anything that you say? I could say, for example, that the earth is flat because it’s been proven over and over again, but I would be unable to guide anyone to a single proof that the earth is flat.

I suggest a new tactic.

Do not ask birth certificate or eligibility questions.

Those questions are met with mockery and boilerplate rhetoric.

Instead, ask your elected representatives:

(1) What hospital Obama was born in.

(2) What doctor signed Obama’s birth certificate.

(3) What public documents contain this information.

These three questions cannot be evaded.

arubarnp writes:

“The birth certificate issue is ridiculous, no one with an IQ higher than room temperature believes that garbage. there really are legitimate issues about Obama, not fantasy ones.”

Arubarnp...here are three “legitimate issues” for your consideration:

(1) What hospital was Obama born in?

(2) What doctor signed Obama’s birth certificate?

(3) What public documents support your answers to the first two questions?

Just so you know, I think Obama was born in Hawaii, and I think he is eligible to be president.

However, Obama, or the Democratic Party, have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars blocking access to his long form birth certificate.

I want to know why.

If Obama was a white Conservative, every major news outfit in the world would be screaming to see that document.

Why does Obama get a free pass?

never to be seen again.

You are way too optimistic, this issue will be solved when it is solved, we may never know, because the government in power has great ability to conceal facts. We still aren't sure who was really behind Lincoln's assignation, or Taft's or Kennedy's, and a whole raft of clintonoids. However Just because you have excepted the minimalist information attitude, don't expect all those with a thirst for truth to join in the koolaid.
