San Diego County officials agreed Wednesday to rescind a cease-and-desist order issued to a pastor holding a small Bible study in his home. In a letter to the pastor, the countys chief administrative officer apologized for the incident involving a code enforcement officer who issued the order after reportedly asking the pastors wife inappropriately probing questions about the study.
The letter informed Pastor David Jones and his legal counsel Dean Broyles, president of the Western Center for Law & Policy, an Alliance Defense Fund allied organization, that the order was wrongfully issued and that the county would conduct a thorough review of its assembly ordinances and code enforcement officer training.
Christians should not be punished simply for holding a Bible study in their home, so we are very encouraged by the countys response and their commitment to immediate corrective action, said Broyles. We look forward to working with the county to ensure that the clarification of its ordinances and training of its personnel are implemented promptly and efficiently so that all citizens of San Diego can be assured that their constitutional rights are protected, whether theyre holding Bible studies or hosting Boy Scout meetings.
We are confident that, as a result of the countys statements, Bible studies and prayer meetings held in homes throughout San Diego County will be free from government regulation, as is guaranteed by the First Amendment, Broyles added.

I can’t remember who was on the original thread...
Sue them anyway, just to teach them a lesson.
This SHOULD have been a non-issue to begin with!!!!!!
They are just going to let these Christians get away with it, scot-free?!
So how many provisions of the Bill of Rights did these lunkheads violate?
No. When someone asks for forgiveness, we must grant it.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
...maybe a little ify on that last one....
I’d be willing to bet there was some homosexual bureaucrat behind this.

She said, 'Yes.' 'Do you say amen?' 'Yes.' 'Do you pray?' 'Yes.' 'Do you say praise the Lord?' 'Yes.' What(or who)possessed his person to do this???
AMEN, BRUDDA! GIMME THOSE NEGATIVE RIGHTS!
It's called being a "hater".
I think high on the list would be public education...
I suspect some anti-Proposition 8 agitator wanted to punish them durn Christians and their hate-crimes.
There must be a potentially huge settlement if it goes to court for the County to break out its knee-pads like this.
It isnt over, they wil just find another way to get him.
