You know, if she wants to wear off the rack clothes she should go to Express. They have lovely tops that have seams just right so the shirt has a natural waistline. Very flattering and NO belt. It would give her a longer, leaner look.

This woman just doesn't know how to dress appropriately as FLOTUS.

I guess we should thank our lucky stars...those grey pants
she was wearing at the tower were so tight.. we might have been subjected to a first-first lady camel toe! ugh

From The View: "I stopped wearing panty hose a long time ago," Obama said, "because it was painful and they'd always rip. And I'm 5'11'' so I'm tall, nothing fits...Put 'em on, rip 'em..it's inconvenient."

That's rediculous! I'm tall and my daughters are all taller; one is 6' and the other is 6'2" and we all find panty hose. Wal-mart, JC Penney and if she can shop at J Crew she could get panty hose that fits from Long Elegant Legs, a catalog for really tall women.

Oh, come on. First Ladies, and the kids always travel overseas. Laura Bush did it all the time, and she took the girls with her on some of her trips. I don't have a problem with this, unless Michelle starts publicly dissing the US.

Even though we disagree vehemently with their politics, let's not be petty about the typical activities of the President and First Lady. First couples always travel; sometimes together, sometimes separately, and sometimes, they take their kids along. Has always happened, and will continue, whether the President is Republican or Democrat.

You're welcome. I just don't want to see folks dissolve into silliness over something so typical of ALL First Families, simply because of their opposition to the President's policies.

They need to save their powder for the more important battles, and their arguments will be considered more seriously.

OK, I liked the blue top and scarf in post 55, but there she is again with the belt under her armpits in post 56. What is UP with that look?

She is a middle-aged woman with an average figure (nothing wrong with that, I’m one too). She should have a nice, really experienced designer make her clothes of really good fabric and construction with a little flair and she would do fine.

So true. She's not unattractive, but some of those get ups just do NOT do her justice.

Yes and no. Sarkozy is desperate for Obama to notice him and like him.

You're probably right, but Sarkozy has a worse layer or underclass of muslim trash than we do, so he has to play boot-lick rather than stand up.

I wonder if MO doesn't want BO making cow-eyes at Mrs Sarkozy?

I think it is more insidious than that, I honestly think the O’s have real issues with anyone who happens to be white.

Normally I would agree with you, as others probably would. However, today when corporate heads have been criticized for flying their own jets to Washington, and when BO has advised us that we should "tighten our belts," and expects us all to be thrifty, then they should set some example when spending OUR money.

It is ridiculous that Michelle flew separately with her daughters, because that means two planes flying two times each. A huge cost to the taxpayer. Plus all the others she took along for this party trip.

And look at the pouting, angry face of her neice in the one picture, with her arms folded. Either she is not having a good time, or she has the same chip on her shoulder that Michelle has and has a look-alike expression. It seems none in that family are appreciative, or even happy. They would rather keep complaining about the past and being resentful.

These people in the White House now seem to flaunt everything in the faces of the American public; expect us not to find fault (that would be racist, after all...ho-hum) and feel "entitled" to do as they want/spend as they want because they are now in the White House and it is owed to them. It is the arrogance they have that is so annoying. It is like the kids who see you coming in your car, and then start to walk very s-l-o-w-l-y across the street. They stare at you, and dare you to get upset or honk the horn. It is an intentional provocation. That same attitude is what the Obamas display. I can't wait until they are out of our White House.

Instead of improving race relations in this country as could have been a very positive step...the Obamas are creating more disturbance and distance between the races. They are setting the example that those of their race should remain angry, should be arrogant, and should expect never to be criticized for their actions because to do so would not be PC.

Barack and Michelle have taken the low road, not the high road...and lowered the bar instead of raising it for their own race. What a terrible shame and, truly, an insult, because they are saying, in essence, you can't be any better...so just remain angry. That is not a way to inspire people to become more enterprising and successful.

Better yet, she should go to Lane Bryant. Big sizes would fit her. It is not her shape that I am critical of, she can't help that. It is that she does everything she can to accentuate the negatives, and look totally unkempt and in disarray. She mostly wears things too small or too tight. The wrinkles in her clothing (here and at other times)are unforgiveable. I don't wear wrinkled clothing even when food shopping, let alone for something that might be photographed. She dresses her children so nicely, what happens when she puts on her clothes?

That belt outside her jacket is ridiculous and cheapens the outfit. She cannot think it looks good. Since she does this sort of thing so often, and I am sure she has heard the criticisms, I think she does it intentionally just to see if people comment.

I read an article where they praised her appearance there in that sweater...saying she looked so stylish with her designer scarf. Imagine...all they could find to say was stylish was a stupid scarf. Looks more like an old Babushka to me, one you would tie around your head to keep your hair from getting wet! LOL. What a crock...stylish...with pants too tight, too long and too wide at the ankles. And another pair of those ugly designer tennis shoes that cost $500! What a piece mixed-up of work she is...but, great model for a wacked-out Picasso painting! (apologies to Picasso)
