HARTFORD, Conn. -- Authorities said a New Jersey man awaits extradition on a warrant charging him with inciting his website's readers to threaten two Connecticut lawmakers and a state ethics office employee.

Connecticut State Capitol Police say 47-year-old Harold "Hal" Turner was taken into custody Wednesday by police in North Bergen. He is scheduled to appear in court there today.

Police said Turner incited his online readers "to take up arms" against Sen. Andrew McDonald and Rep. Michael Lawlor.

Here is what he said on the blog - you decide

"It is our intent to foment direct action against these individuals personally," the blog stated. "These beastly government officials should be made an example of as a warning to others in government: Obey the Constitution or die."
And, the post continued, "If any state attorney, police department or court thinks they're going to get uppity with us about this; I suspect we have enough bullets to put them down too."

He also intended to broadcast the home addresses of the officials in question but was arrested before he could do that

“While filing a lawsuit is quaint and the ‘decent’ way to handle things, we at TRN (Turner Radio Network) believe that being decent to a group of tyrannical scumbags is the wrong approach,” Turner wrote on his blog. “It’s too soft. Thankfully, the Founding Fathers gave us the tools necessary to resolve tyranny: The Second Amendment.”

When did it become illegal to quote the founders and the second Amendment?

About the same time that the government of Connecticut became infested by Democrats...

Let's see, legislature is in session, they're present, that's all that's needed. No doubt their home addresses are known far and wide ~ they are elected politicians for pete's sake.

It's not a crime to post an address.

“It is ‘our’ ‘intent’ to foment direct action against these individuals personally,”

“If any state attorney, police department or court thinks they’re going to get uppity with ‘us’ about this; I suspect ‘we’ have enough bullets to put them down too.”

HE WENT TOO FAR!

I think the problem he has is with the above words “OUR,” “WE,” and “US.”

HIS THREATS ARE VERY SPECIFIC.

Sounds like “incitement to do bodily harm” or some such charge.

If he’s so stupid to tell his readers to take up arms against some political hacks, he deserves his fate.

“It’s not a crime to post an address.”

Actually, it MIGHT be if they are police or prosecutors that have protect themselves from retribution.

I don’t know the law there but I believe it works that way in California.

I’m not a lawyer and I could be wrong, but I remember reading this somewhere.

It has to do with federal judges and federal prosecutors. Those are appointive positions and they deal with known criminals every day.

What we have here are "officials" who are otherwise elected members of the state legislature. Not exactly sure how you could ever get elected if you kept your address secret. Think about that one for awhile.

The other guy is a state official with an office in a well known building.

Look, I had a job in a public building and just anybody could come in, ride up the elevator, and bust in and shoot me (or my co-workers). We were concerned with that problem because we did business regularly with disreputable people in the MSM, the Mafia, the KKK, Planned Parenthood, and National Organization for Women ~ people like that who wouldn't blink their eyes while blowing your brains out over an unfavorable ruling in a postage deficiency matter.

So, what did we do? Well, my employer knew where my post office box was located. And, we kept the doors locked, and didn't leave stuff in our cars that revealed our identities, etc.

Never got shot. No doubt an elected official can't get away with even that and continue to get elected. And never forget, Arthur Bremmer is loose.

Having bullets and telling people about how many you have is not a crime. In fact, the Leftwingtards would like for people to "register" their ammo.

The guy is just short of a real threat. What he's saying may sound like a threat, but I know threats that the FBI will usually respond to, and have been on the receiving end of them.

One good one "There's a bomb in my trunk parked in the (building name) garage."

Many's the time I and several thousand other people trooped out of the building.

Once the bomb was on a desk one floor above my desk, and another time the bomb was in the trunk of a guy's ex-girlfriend. Another time we came in Monday morning to a bomb threat ~ the boyfriend of a gal in another building got mixed up on his addresses and the bomb was in our parking garage.

There's usually got to be some evidence the person making the threat has the knowledge, opportunity and wherewithall to make good on it. Otherwise he gets charged with making a "false threat" (a more recent addition to the law thought to provide a useful prophylaxis).

It's useful for people to keep in mind the difference between "real threats" and "false threats". Under the Patriot Act the "false threats" thing has kind of slipped over into "terrorism".

Turner will walk on this one but he has no damage claims against anyone. At the same time he should realize that being in New Jersey does not protect him from the fascistic Leftwingtards who run Connecticut. They want to get him and they are reading his every word hoping to trip him up.

My guess is that most of Turner's audience are Leftwingtards. Before this event I'd never heard of him (unless he's involved in the Turner Diary thing).

"This guy made his statement on camera."

The problem is Kill "whitey" or Kill "blacks" is not specific enough.(It's very bad; Don't get me wrong)

However, if one says, specifically, 'Common guys, we need go kill that white guy -- Joe Blow -- and if the cops try to stop us we will put them down too'... that might be crossing the line.

"false threats"

Oh, I did not think about that possibility.

A 'false threat' loophole.

Thanks for the information.

Yeah, that was my recollection, but I wasn't sure if also extended to other public servants.

Apparently you have a lot of first hand experience.

Thanks again for the information.
