Slain abortion doctor eulogized as generous

By ROXANA HEGEMAN, Associated Press Writer

WICHITA, Kan. – Hundreds of people gathered Saturday to honor slain abortion provider Dr. George Tiller, eulogized by a longtime friend as a passionate and generous man who repeatedly overcame difficult challenges.

Tiller's funeral at College Hill United Methodist Church also drew small groups of protesters. Police and federal marshals provided heavy security.

Tiller, one of the nation's few providers of late-term abortions, was killed by a gunshot last Sunday in the foyer of his own church, Reformation Lutheran, while he was serving as an usher and his wife was singing in the choir.

His family had the funeral at the Methodist church to accommodate the large number of mourners.

His son, Maury, said the manner of his father's death resulted in an unimaginable outpouring of love and support for the family.

But he added: "I struggle with the manner he was welcomed into heaven."

Others recalled personal quirks that made him human.

He was also generous in dealing out brutal death, by hos own admission.

56,000 were killed in Buchenwald...and the world justafiaby, and understandably condemns the holocaust and hunted down and executed the perpetrators.

By his own admission, Tiller butchered 60,000 and more, and yet a corrupt law, that has protected the practioners in this gruesome holocaust, protected the man from the true rule of law.

Anyone blind to the sick, evil irony of that have accepted a deparved set of circumstances and strong delusion.

I mourn Tiller's family at the loss of their father and grandfather. I doubt seriously that they knew the full and graphic nature of what he was involed in.

But I absolutely refuse to mourn the fact that he, Dr. Tiller, a bloody, gruesome killer of fully formed babies...who were alive, who could FEEL THE PAIN of being literally ripped asunder, will himself murder no more.

THE GRUESOME TRUTH OF THE ABORTION HOLOCAUST & THE DEATH OF DR. TILLER [Warning: A graphic photo of death & dismemberment]

“It is the grimmest of ironies that one of the most savage, barbaric acts of evil in history began in one of the most modernized societies of its time, where so many markers of human progress became tools of human depravity: science that can heal, used to kill; education that can enlighten, used to rationalize away basic moral impulses; the bureaucracy that sustains modern life, used as the machinery of mass death, a ruthless, chillingly efficient system where many were responsible for the killing, but few got actual blood on their hands.”–Barack Obama April 24, 2009, Holocaust Remebernce Day, Chicago Sun Times.

Did Tiller do any FREE, “pro-bono” abortions?

NO!

Where most of Tiller's “charities” self serving, and supportive of his bloody trade?

YES!

He was slain in a Lutheran Church where he was an usher. Why was his funeral in a Methodist Church?

I hope Tiller’s killer is let off on a technicality. Let’s see how the left reacts when someone they hate gets to skirt the consequences of their actions because someone didn’t cross an I or dot a T.

Why not hold the funeral in a college football stadium if larger is what they wanted?

Tiller was a man who performed sick "rights" for the mothers of the babies he killed, with pictures of the mothers and the babies together after the killings if theyso desired...who had "baptisms" for the babies he had just killed. He was quoted as telling one evangelical protester that it was worth it to go to hell if he could continue supporting and performing abortions.

He became a millionaire, making absolute blood money and filthy lucre off of the gruesome, bloody death of little babies.

A sicker, more depraved thing in our society is hardly imaginable.

The picture at the link above lays all of the apologists and all of the PC speak concerning this practice to ash. It is a depraved, bloody, sick, genocidal holocaust.

I cannot and do not mourn the fact that his baby killing days are over.

I feared this would happen. This is why pro-lifers should condemn the killing, even though Tiller was a repulsive person.

The unborn he killed have eternal souls I assume. There is curious line Jesus says about not fearing the person who can destroy our earthly bodies but to fear the one who can condemn our eternal souls. Given that we are all sinners who could be in a position to do so without also condemning oneself. Perhaps the unborn who never had a chance to breath a single breath? I am not sure but I wonder about this.

I "found" this post on the NPR site where this (similar) article is linked to.

I hope he inspires more young people to seek a career interrupting the cycle of life, providing people the lifestyle they want, free of burdensome responsibilities. Such people serving in this capacity demonstrate what is best about human achievement, and are far more popular with people who mater, like Hollywood celebrities, than those self-righteous hypocrites, who can't see the good that comes from removing a plague from the human race.

I do not condemn the killing and no force, argument, or sanctimonious babble on earth can persuade me to do so. I see 60,000 innocents put up against his indescribably evil hide and wish his death had occured before his first murder. Try as I will, I see no fault in myself only in those that want to bestow upon him any vestige of humanity.

That’s much sicker and more depraved than an abortionist is...

Yet somehow, instead of pro-lifers rallying people of all backgrounds to the cause of life and against the heinous acts of Tiller, he's being eulogized as 'generous.'

How could this 1984 Orwellian, 'right is wrong' and 'wrong is right' PR twist be carted out at all?

While this is certainly the expertise of the bigotry of the pre-dominantly pro-abortion liberals and enemedia it is also happening because we pro-lifers allowed it. If Roeder is just 'one of us' - only with some 'guts' - then we've just allowed the left to do exactly what they currently doing. Aside from the moral issues, and ceding some of our moral high ground when it comes to assassinating abortionists - even heinous ones like Tiller - this assassination is just horrible strategically for the pro-life movement.

No Roeder is not just 'one of us with guts.' Other than our prayers we don't owe Roeder anything. He is not a hero nor a help in the pro-life cause. We have a pretty strong argument that Roeder's hurt us on balance! At the very least Roeder is a non-sequitor in the larger, more important pro-life cause. His act did not stop the mass of abortions in our country. To accomplish that, we must be wiser and better.

While Roeder may have some sympathies from within the pro-life movement, mostly stated like yours above, his act was not a legitimate act which a large swath of pro-lifers support. No legit pro-life leader supports Roeder's assassination of Tiller.

If one is inclined to shooting abortionists (which I’m not, by the way...) — then they should make sure that the mother gets shot first, for killing her baby, then you can go after the abortionist...

But, as for me, I’m for not for shooting the abortionist or the mother. However, I would be for laws making it the death penalty for any parent or abortionist (or anyone else in such a business) to do such a thing to an unborn child...

You have a point. But doctors take the Hippocratic oath - so Tiller violated that trust 60,000 times over. I didn't consider Tiller a doctor. Among other things, the classic oath says:

"I will neither give a deadly drug to anybody who asked for it, nor will I make a suggestion to this effect. Similarly I will not give to a woman an abortive remedy. In purity and holiness I will guard my life and my art."

Tiller was indeed a heinous man - a heinous criminal.

Tiller: I don’t understand, I have performed a service to thousands of women. Satan: You are so blind. You have murdered thousands in the most gruesome way. For all of eternity you will have hooks inserted in you and ripping your organs out. HAHAHAHAHA!
