Associated Press ^ | June 7, 2009 | MARK SHERMAN

Opponents of Chrysler's sale to Fiat are asking the Supreme Court to block the deal. Three Indiana state pension and construction funds filed emergency papers at the high court early Sunday to put the sale on hold so they can pursue an appeal.

The funds also challenged the constitutionality of the Treasury Department's use of Troubled Asset Relief Program, or TARP, funds to supply Chrysler's bankruptcy protection financing. They say the Treasury did so without congressional authority.

The constitutionality of tarp is nonexistent.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has to decide in favor of the unconstitutional actions of the muslim or protect the teacher’s pensions.

She can punt this up to the full Court or make the decision herself.

If the SCOTUS and the POTUS are truly in cahoots,
And the birth certificate issue has become, mostly moot,
The Usurper can feel free, to spend all the federal loot,
Even though he is ineligible, and nothing but an empty suit!

The POTUS and the SCOTUS are now laughing at the sheeple,
While wiping all their asses with that 'We The People' paper,
Our friends become our enemies, and our enemies vicea verse,
It may certainly be concluded, that America's been cursed!

So Chrysler goes to Fiat, and General Motors to the Feds,
And you know it won't be long before the mighty dollar's dead,
And martial law and rationing are not that far ahead,
So hide your guns and ammo, and remember what I've said.

The constitutionality of tarp is nonexistent.

Bingo! TARP essentially gave Paulson and Bernanke a blank check, unlimited in funds, for whatever purpose they saw fit. The original purpose was to provide mortgage relief for homeowners facing foreclosure. That quickly got changed to a bank bailout, then an automaker bailout.

There were warnings out there this would happen, but they were cries in the wilderness.

The time to have mounted the challenge was when TARP bailed out the banks. Too late now.

Thank you for starting this thread, I missed the previous threads.

It is coming to light about the various funds, be they private or public that have and will take big losses with the polices of the 0bama Socialism.

Even a nearby city of 200,000, Springfield, Missouri has a shortage of 12 million dollars in the police and firepersons pension funds. Voters have rejected an additional sales tax to make up the shortfall.

The chickens are coming home to roost across the land.

She can decide to grant the stay (in effect a temporary injunction on the Bankruptcy Court's authorization of the sale) pending consideration by the entire SCOTUS of the appellant's substantive claim or she can defer the decision to impose the stay to the entire SCOTUS. She cannot rule on the substantive issue, alone.

The fireworks won’t really start to fly until his policies are ruled unconstitutional. FDR was more popular during his terms than almost any other president. If the Supreme Court could stand up to him, they can most certainly stand up to BHO. Good thing Obama can’t seem to learn from the mistakes of the past.

SCOTUS, in the end, did not stand up to FDR. I’m sure you’ve read of the “switch in time that saves nine.”

THIS is the first test of the Supreme Court against Obama. Will the brethren stand up for the Constitution and grant cert? Lord in heaven above I hope so.

If not, it’s a sign that the Supremes are going to step aside and let this Marxist maniac run amok.

Some people like to read what others are saying ....three different sources (Which was noted so the moderator didn’t drop any of them). Three groups of responses....! Didn’t want to copy materials from other threads (which may interest you...thought linking was more appropriate.

BTW Looks like Roger Penske bought Satern this AM. GO Hoosiers!
