All indications show that Michelle is both self-loathing AND of the jealous type. She's the kind that tries to befriend women who are smart AND pretty and nice, so as to be lumped in with them, only to sooner or later push them away due her inadequateness and jealousness.

I'll bet she goes "through" friends--ending female relationships with "blow-ups."

it's just my take on her. I just don't think she likes herself very much. The same goes for her husband--that's why he's always apologizing to everyone. I think that they both realize they are "sub-par" wanna-be "somebodies."

That whole thing with Zero's nose always so ridiculously and laughingly high in the air shows just HOW inferior they REALLY feel. It's pathetic, actually. Who does that? But now I'm way off-subject....

Well I think they are both narcissists. Those kind of people are never happy and are only generous in spirit when they are so full of themselves they can afford to be nice...for that tiny little while....
For such an inadequate pair they made it up to the top floor not because of their talents but inspite of themselves.
