PARIS, TX -- Racial tensions are running high in Paris after two white men were released and all charges were dropped against them for the murder of 24-year-old Brandon McClelland.
The New Black Panther Party is holding a press conference and a community rally at the lamar County Courthouse Monday at noon for what they say is unjust.
Initially, McClellands murder was being prosecuted as a hate crime.
This all sparked again late last week when Shannon Findlay and Charles Crostley were released from jail. The case against them had been unraveling due to lack of eye witnesses and physical evidence.
At one point, a gravel truck driver even gave a sworn statement saying he may have accidently run over McClelland with his vehicle.
First News has a crew in Paris and will have more later in the day.
Unjust, for sure. These two innocent men were held for months with no evidence.
Isn't that who AG Holder just pardoned?
“Texas Black Panthers?” That makes about as much sense as the Illinois Nazis in the Blues Brothers. Remember what Jake said about those?
OK OK. This is satire right? I mean, the big blak half-O is Pres. I mean, I thought this sh!t was ova’, right? Everythin is cool now........
These guys were friends and had just made a beer run to Oklahoma?
And then it becomes a “hate crime”?
I wonder if Holder will pick up the case being a ‘hate crime’ and all?
Unjust because they have evidence, can produce witnesses, etc.? Nah, COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS like the New Black Panther Party don’t need such things....
“The next time you commit a crime against someone, you better make darn sure they’re the same race as you.” - South Park
Under the thugs in power now, they will be licensed and empowered and protected in their thuggery.
In the book, “Before The Mayflower” by African American author Lerone Bennett, The great migration North by blacks began in earnest in 1879, with 187 lynchings just the year before. Look in our cities today. One wonders, who is lynching who? THE BPP should STFU, as they appear to be as innumerate as they are intemperate..
I think a lot of 0bamites think this is just the beginning.
As the person pictured above stated - “you’re gonna be ruled by the black man, now, cracker”
This ain't Philly ... ya'll Panther boys better be polite.
That’s funny right there...
The BPP and their sycophants are filled with spite and pride. “Pride cometh before a fall.”
Obozo’ friends or not.
Paris TX is not a place to have the “Black Panthers” strut their stuff.
East Texas is a hostile environment for such stuff.
I am sorry he was killed, but suspect the grand jury came to a reasonable decision.
Past that, outsiders should not meddle there.
. . . that someday I’ll be able to spell.
Wasn’t the dead man friends with the two men who were accused?
“The next time you commit a crime against someone, you better make darn sure theyre the same race as you. - South Park”
IF you’re white....
Here are some stats on who commits crimes against who. Blacks commit far more crimes against whites than the other way around, so what is all this nonsense whining anyway! Enough of it.
Take a look at the line for white on black crime at the bottom of the following chart.
Also, note the other charts at the link........during republican administrations, black crime
went down and went up under democrats!
In 2005, offending rates for blacks were more than 7 times higher than the rates for whites
LOL! Okay that’s funny, no question.
According to our paper, the two couldn’t post bail so there they sat.
So the three guys were drunk and on their way back from a beer run.
They got into an argument over whether or not the driver was too drunk to drive. So the guy that was killed got out to walk home.
They later found him dead; hit by a vehicle.
So, where was the hate crime? Where was the evidence against these two guys? Or did they just lock them up because they were white and the Black community demanded it?
This is the kind of “justice” you get when the government starts with the preconception that all whites are guilty of “hate crimes” just by being white.
Paris Texas. Great movie! Because the music was from Ry Cooder. I could watch a sewage leak if it was accompanied by his music!
Did not see the movie.
Know people who are “from” there. And some of the local history.
Have no clue who Ry Cooder is.
Movie gives Texas a bad name it does not deserve.
Nicest people in the world live in Texas and Oklahoma. Kind gentle respectful people as a whole. Great neighbors.
The prevailing attitude has always been leave me alone to live may life and we will get along fine, if that is not satisfactory, we will deal with it.
Outsiders who try to stir thing up here are not wise.
It doesn’t matter whether or not they are innocent. The New Black Panther Party wants a lynching!
Lots of music on youtube also.
Thanks for the explanation.
I plead utter ignorance about “sports” and “entertainment”.
Things technical, I understand and am comfortable with. If it has wires and emits RF I am particularly comfortable with it. Plus computers, built my first in 1983.
I have been a History student since 1976. That year I read Anthony Brown’s “Bodyguard of Lies” and it blew me away. Spent almost 10 years studying WWII sig/intl history. After that a dozen unrelated history interests.
But above all else I truly love Texas. I am a native but Texas is a state of mind and heart, not where you were born.
Not going to happen.
Yeah. I wonder if Super Afro-Democrat there knows our brutal history and how we treat collectivist, elitist "rulers"?
Hints: Chaucescu, Mussolini, Hitler
I spent a few weeks each summer at my Uncle’s home in Midland.
Hey Mr Holder, how about you tell your "brothers" to take a hike.
"Illinois Nazis? I hate Illinois Nazis."
