I don’t think it is that she is ugly, not in the sense that we normally use that term. Her ugly is inside her, her eyes are dead and her mouth is bitter and angry. Just as some have inner beauty that shines out for all to see- she has an inner ugly that shows plainly on the outside.

I do not like the racial comments either. They are not becoming of Free Republic and frankly betray an ignorance all their own.
That said I think there is certain room for critiquing the image portrayed by the President and First lady in the world. If for no other reason, than to counter the idol worship of the media. Michelle had probably one of the ugliest dresses on I have ever seen. She shopped at a very expensive shop and brought the whole Secret Service detail with her. The TOTUS and Mrs. Obama are not honoring the dignity of the office in many ways. They are further serving to cause a lack of respect in the eyes of the youth towards America. They are also angry people and it shows.
Ridiculing them within bounds while keeping racist, violent, or profane comments out of it is in the spirit of Free Republic.
