Small poke in the eye for ACORN and the Southern Poverty Law Center.
And don’t forget the Obama Justice Department
“Small poke in the eye for ACORN and the Southern Poverty Law Center.”
Yeah I know. God forbid that you have to show a photo ID when you vote... Thats, thats RACIST!
Yet on the flip side, you have to show an ID to cash a check, pick up a perscription, buy alcohol and cigarettes, get on an airplane, use a credit card, drive a car, get into a bar or night club, etc.
Does this mean the DOJ order that said the state of GA had to quit cleaning its voter roles is void?
Georgia vs ACORN
You realize of course that this won’t stop them, nothing
stops them.
They will wait till near election time to stage protests, file appeals, muck up the works and create doubt in the
legitimacy of the elections.
It’s how they do it.
The amateurs at the DOJ think they have control power over the SCOTUS...Guess they're in for some learnin!
Good they got that right!
You need ID for:
Buying a car
Buying alcohol
Buying tobacco products
Viewing an ‘R’ rated film
Buying cough syrup
Picking up an order placed online and picked up at a brick and mortar location
BUT, IT’S UNCONSTITUTIONAL TO SHOW ID TO VOTE? Liberals are the filth, scum and vermin of the universe. Good God in Heaven, please bless us! This is at least a small victory for the ‘Right’ side.
They have NO real argument yet they persist as usual.
Does this send AG Holder to the wood shed?
They won't need an argument with a potentate....
It’s hilarious to listen to them argue, “It’s a financial burden for minorities to have to obtain an ID.”
So, why can’t their neighborhood ACORN organizer help them get it?
The Obama Administration gets its second slap-down from SCOTUS this week. Excellent.
In Georgia, you also need an ID to buy spray paint.
Holder attempt failed...It’s just another example of his ineptness. (Indiana/Chrystler/RuthG is another....We need to keep track of them for the MSM and publish them regularly for FOX to find.
God help us!
What about this?

Justic says it’s NOT in effect?
what gives?
Its hilarious to listen to them argue, Its a financial burden for minorities to have to obtain an ID.
There is NO financial burden on anyone (poor or othwerise). Heck, the driver’s license offices are even open on Sat. in my area, so you can’t even make the claim you have to take off of work.
The move on Monday means a January 2009 ruling by a three-judge panel of the 11th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to uphold the state’s photo ID law is final.
Amazing, isn't it!
God, I went to Lowes and bought some WD-40. I was royally pissed that I had to show an ID.
Yeah it is.
I hate morris dees and the southern poverty pimp err law center.
You do understand their fear of being beaten and castrated at the DMV by all the folks wearing pillow cases over their heads....right?
:)
I think you have to provide a birth certificate for most things except all the secrets this country has plus the nuclear codes. You do not need a BC for that.
We need voter ID in every state before November of 2010 and its time Republicans go on the offensive and stay there!
No - I didn’t!
I read the first few paragraphs and it was entirely reasonable for H0lder/0bama. Scary.
Glad to know we’re good to go tho!
It will never happen in NC.
I would think this SCOTUS ruling should be a template for all states to demand it.
Really? Wow, how f-ing sad. That’s down there with the ID requirement buying cough syrup.
Is someone gonna make a bomb with spray paint?
NO!! This ruling and the DOJ ruling are 2 different issues. The DOJ ruling dealt with citizenship checks. The Supreme Court ruling dealt with Photo ID Checks. Karen Handel, Georgia SOS posted this on her Facebook page earlier today:
Good news: Yesterday the Supreme Court refused to hear the case on requiring photo ID to vote. This reaffirmed that our measure was proper. Should be the end of legal challenges to our common-sense law. This is not the same as the citizenship screening we have been fighting for but it is a big victory!
And posted this link to read: Only the (eligible) living should vote.
You do understand their fear of being beaten and castrated at the DMV by all the folks wearing pillow cases over their heads....right?
The last time I got my license renewed, they scanned my fingerprint and placed it on the back of the license as some type of bar code. I wonder if the free voter ID cards have that also?
Actually, with today’s technology, there isn’t any technical reason why you couldn’t use a person’s thumbprint as their voter-ID (other than the fact that you wouldn’t want the gov. to have your fingerprint.)
Exactly right! Let ACORN get it for them.
Morris Deas must be deeply saddened.
[Wrong!!! In GA you can get a FREE voter id anytime you want.]
Lib response: It’s still a financial burden because you have to pay to take a bus or a taxi to the DMV office. And, it takes almost a whole day of traipsing down there and sitting around waiting...time is money, you know.
I also had to show it every once in a while when applying for a job.
But you're right, I guess that you don't need one in order to have the authority to launch nuclear weapons, and have a Top Secret or higher security clearance
While it’s encouraging that this law was upheld, making it easier for other states to adopt similar legislation, it’s not going to make much difference in Georgia. What we need is for the battleground states, like OH, MI, PA, FL, etc. to adopt this kind of requirement for it to mean anything substantive in national elections.
But all that “going to the DMV” or whatever to get your ID...
I mean, it requires them to get off their malt liquored asses and actually go somewhere during office hours & all that.
but no ID required to take charge of the nFootball ...
Kids (and serious low lifes) use spray paint for “huffing”, which is inhaling the aerosol.
I agree, and add to that we need to get moving on urkels next term run. Force him to showw the BC for his second run, it looks as though his first might be locked in.
Uh - gross. Just go but Cool-Whip and/or Cheese Whiz at that point. Scums.
They cannot file an appeal. The USSC is the final word in the process. Only another USSC with different members would revisit this question unless some NEW and compelling evidence were submitted, which is highly unlikely.
As for protests, let them. It’s a free country and there is no way to prevent them nor would you really want to do that.
I am not clear that this overcomes the recent DOJ ruling that stopped enforcement of the law. ????
Precedent is a good this sometimes.
The same government that wants proof of age, citizenship and identity for everything from buying booze to cashing a check doesn’t want their illegal aliens and multiple-vote voters to do so.
That is nothing but corruption and a non-violent overthrow of the US government. It should be treated as sedition and met with the death penalty.
The law is intended to prevent vandalism and youth inhaling. Actually, the Georgia law does not specifically restrict sales of spray paint to minors. It states that MODEL GLUE cannot be sold to anyone under 18.
But every time you go into Walmart or Home Depot and pick up a can of spray paint, they card you at the register as if it were a six-pack of beer.
Under the law, O.C.G.A. § 16-13-90, et seq., model glue is defined as any chemical substance containing one of up to 34 chemicals and some of the chemicals listed are common in spray paints. So the merchants card.
