When she started including personal human interest stories, as part of the evening news broadcast, I knew it was only a matter of time.
Her first night she explained that she saw her job as needing to educate the American public.
Looks like Katie is getting the education.

It doesn't matter.
Couric got her award for taking out Sarah Palin.
Just like Krugman got his award for taking out Bush's economics.
Just like Gore got his award...

Still a lot more viewers than any show on Fox news or any other non-MSM news show. The influence of the MSM continues to be dominant.

Katie needs to do a lot more coverage of the Lingerie Football League if she wants her ratings to improve.

I know what can save perky katie..if only she can discover documents from Sarah Palin’s former commander in the Alaskan National Guard saying that Sarah is a terrible soldier who spends all her time shopping for fancy clothes for her and her kids..of course this would be dated back in 1972..what can possibly go wrong????

I think it was Bernie Goldberg who made a really good point about Katie awhile back. He compared her to cereal. It’s good in the morning, but in the evening you want something a little more filling. At the time I thought hiring Couric was a terrible business decision. They could’ve just promoted one of their run of the mill field reporters for a fraction of Couric’s salary and probably gotten slightly higher ratings.
