CHANDLER, AZ – A 21-year-old man is in custody for allegedly throwing his girlfriend's 2-year-old girl onto concrete ground, critically injuring the child.

Police said Jeremiahs Aguilar admitted to police that he threw the toddler because she wouldn't stop crying.

On Saturday, Josepha Talavara, 20, allegedly called 9-1-1 and said her daughter was unresponsive.

Police responded to her home near Chandler Boulevard and Fresno Street where they discovered the child in critical condition.

The victim was transported to a local hospital and later airlifted to a trauma center, according to police.

As of late Monday, she remained on life support with several skull fractures.

Officers arrested Aguilar and booked him on a charge of felony child abuse. Police also discovered that he was an undocumented immigrant.

Talavara is also being investigated for possible involvement in the abuse of the child, according to police.

I think he already has rotted. Look at his eyes, if you dare.

Dead eyes. What is wrong with women that take up with scum like this? And to have him around her child. She is as rotten as he is.

This sort of stuff happens less often in homes in which the father of the children is married to the mother. It is so frustrating to talk to people who don’t think traditional culture matters and that any sort of way one wants to live is equally good. Marriage tends to be better for women AND children. I pray for the little girl, and I pray for justice in this case.

Ditto.

The more I hear in this world, the more I can go for an eye for an eye.

People like this guy have zero value and I find no reason to show any compassion towards someone who would injure a child.

Chandler, AZ.
Yep, we have the death penalty here.

But we love Mexico, and probably won’t sentence him to death in deference to the wishes of that wonderful country to our south... /sarc

We had a case of that down here on the border about 10 years ago - guy never made it to prison.

They found his corpse, nekkid, lying in a huge patch of prickly pear. I think the child’s Uncle was half Yaqui...
