Sounds like the same Modus Operandi is going on with the GM Bankruptsy. They have to sign a gag order by Friday or they are cut off completely.
I've thought the same thing for a while, and would expand it to state that society can only survive when it is ethical and honors contracts. While it's tempting to simply blame the lawyers, and yes there is blame there, lawyers generally represent the wishes of their clients. Every time you see an unethical lawyer, he's representing an unethical person.
A society that behaves ethically needs few rules. A society that is unethical cannot have enough rules, because no one will follow them anyway. This was the conundrum that Franklin and the other founding fathers expressed when they established the Constitution. They were quite aware that the freedoms enumerated in the Bill of Rights could be used to destroy those same freedoms.

I would not put it past the New Car Czar and GM/Gov to have targeted the dealership because of some of Gretchen's on air criticism of Obama and his Admin.

If it can be proved that 83% of dealerships that were ordered closed were/are Republican owned, isn’t that a form of discrimination? I thought there were laws against that.

One would have to also know the % of all dealerships that were owned by GOP donors and the % of remaining dealerships that are GOP donor owned before a true conclusion can be made.
I wasn’t referring to myself personally, but the general condition of a large part of America.
It’s hard for people to focus beyond their immediate concerns right now. We’re overwhelmed by the assault on our freedom, our national security, and of course, on the economy of this once great country.

It would be interesting to know what the sales output of this store was and what the facility looks like in relation to what GM is/was trying to get in the stores? Also how far is it from other major cities, is it a single or multi line store, etc?
