The John Birch Society has warned of all of this since the late 50s.
Their prediction record is quite solid. The book “The Shadows of Power” is absolutely unassailable, especially considering when most of it was written. Only the Bible does better.
I have a problem with that statement.
I am not critical of the John Birch Society they are always patriotic and are students of history, but some of the "writers" loose it.
When I was Republican County Chairman in a mining district in NM, there were three groups I could always count on. The John Birch Society, the local Mormon Community (I am Baptist), and the Rock Rib Republican Ranchers.
These people were all my friends, but I did not always share some of their views. But we fought the battle together, in a County where the Dem registration was 2 Dems per 1 Republican.
