Posted on 06/10/2009 2:29:16 PM PDT by Pyro7480
Dallas Morning Newss Wayne Slater become one of the first pundits after the shootings at the Holocaust Museum on Wednesday to hint that there was a connection to mainstream conservative activists. On CNN Newsroom, about two hours after the story broke, Slater linked this incident and the murder of abortionist George Tiller with anti-tax secessionists in Texas, his label for Tea Party protesters.
Anchor Rick Sanchez moderated a panel discussion on the Holocaust Museum shootings after the bottom of the 3 pm Eastern hour of the CNN program....Sanchez asked the Dallas Morning News political writer if criminals like this suspect are motivated or do they need to be motivated? He replied, not including the shooting of Tiller, but reaching back to include the Oklahoma City bombing perpetuated by Timothy McVeigh:
SLATER: They absolutely need to be motivated and are being motivated. Each of these episodes in recent weeks- whether its [the] killing of an abortion doctor- whether it was this Holocaust denier today, or whether it was others- whether youre talking about Tim McVeigh or anti-tax secessionists in Texas- the interesting thing is theyre all separate, but theyre all hearing portions of the same echo chamber, a kind of dialogue- a toxic dialogue thats subterranean in large parts. Remember, the man who was accused- who is accused of the most recent shooting of the abortion doctor, according to his ex-wife, had connections with the Montana Freemen, a kind of wild radical secessionist group. You hear not only these conversations about blacks and Jews, but about the government and about other hate-filled issues. It is- although they are separate- they are connected by a kind of dialogue of toxic ideology.

And Keith Olberman killed Kennedy!
1990’s all over again. Wait for the next Waco.
Are they questioning conservative protesters’ patriotism?
Wayne Slater ! The last time I paid my subscription to the Dallas Morning News, I wrote FIRE WAYNE SLATER across the bill.
Apparently, they did not heed my suggestion. I may not heed their next request for money.
They’re already starting to smear conservatives...
They can’t round us up without a reason, so...
So then your toxic anti-war ideology is somehow responsible for that shooting of a soldier in Arkansas, eh?
Yes, and the murder of the young Marine in Little Rock can be laid at the feet of ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, NPR, NY Time, SF Chronicle and LA Times, as well as the democrat party for 8 years of lies and distortion about the WOT and our troops.
what a jackass
These “right wing nutjob attacks” do seem all too well-timed and “coincidental”, don’t they.
Confidential to Todd Schnitt, who is miffed at all the callers taking exception to the “right wing extremist” tag being applied to the shooter: See? This headline shows the blowback that ardent patriots attending the tea party rallies and other forms of peacefully exercising our Constitutional Right to Assemble face.
This guy was an extreme left-winger.
Hates Christians and Jews.
He has D.U. nut job written all over him.
Check His background:
For those who don’t know, Slater was the one who brought forth Bill Burkett the man who provided the phony documents to Dan Rather’s editor, Mary Mapes as a credible witness despite overwhelming evidence that Burkett was a serial liar and basic. Since Slater works with Mary Mapes’ husband, Mark Wrolstrad, and since I had raised such a stink about Burkett to so many editors and reporters at the Morning News before Rather’s story broke, I have no idea how Slater kept his job.
He and I made peace one night during the time that Rather’s story was falling faster than Bill Clinton’s pants at a sorority party, and I sincerely believe that he was sorry for what he had done.

I immediately called after seeing this thread. I happen to be one of those tea party protestors and am very offended of the comparison he has made.
Guys, this must stop!!!
I KNEW IT, Amhed Gamal Hussein the right wing, no doubt Christian, gun nut !!!
The next good one will be when they accuse a Jewish guy of helping to plan the whole thing and loaning the shooter a gun from his Hock Shop stockpile. They do all run Hock Shops, you know. All of em’, they need boycotted, they need to be easier to identify in order to avoid their snares and tricks.
I hope HusseinO has a plan for that, something German would be nice, sort of put a sophistocated European flair on it.
He was a 9-11 “truther” who hated Jews.
That sounds like an Obama supporter, not a conservative.
This is a low tactic by liberals. Tarring everyone who disagrees with present policies by linking them to two nuts who are killers. Can’t they find a legitimate reason for defending Obama’s policies? Or is anyone who disagrees a crazy killer? In other words, can we talk about substance?
I don’t care what these people think. They are mere irrelevancies when measured against events to come. Yellow excretion be upon them.
When they find out he hated Christians, was a 911 truther and was a long time Democrat - this will be buried.
I don’t think they want to round us up. Just smear us so that we can’t make a substantive argument. Typical.
Well, Janet did want everyone on the list.
Wait a minute, I thought when Bush was in, we were too friendly to Israel and playing footsie with the Saudis?
I could have sworn I heard screams anytime someone spoke at AIPAC and we were part of the Jewish-owned, rightwing media.
Funny, none of this happened when Bush was in... /s
James Von Brunn;
In 1983, he was convicted of attempting to kidnap members of the Federal Reserve Board. He was arrested two years earlier outside the room where the board was meeting, carrying a revolver, knife and sawed-off shotgun. At the time, police said Von Brunn wanted to take the members hostage because of high interest rates and the nations economic difficulties.
The media will now try to paint all White conservatives with the same broad brush.
Ummm, too bad Scott Roeder and Von Brunn werent doing something legal like checking law and source sites for a missing Obama birth certificate!!
Seems the LAW didn't keep track of Roeder or Von Brunn, but surely they should keep an eye on someone who makes abhorrent remarks about a 14 year old girl, like David Letterman!! He bears watching!
It’s the left that hates Jews. Nice try, dickweed.
I can see he’s sorry... for the last one.
Was he trying to keep his job by any chance?
I only check the online version to see who died that I know - I know, morbid, but I live seven states away...
Whatever THAT sentence was meant to say...
Pro-life people? Tax protesters? That's funny. Why doesn't a murderous, anti-American Jew-hater remind you instead of other murderous, anti-American Jew haters, such as the Islamo-Nazi converts who killed a soldier at that recruiting station? Or of John Allen Muhammed, the "D.C. Sniper" Islamo-Nazi who was even killing people in the same geographical area?
I guess the state-run media avoids criticizing murderous Jew-haters if they're black. Because they figure black criminals must hate the same people liberals hate most: white folks who are normal. Of course, liberals also hate black folks who are normal. It must be tiring to be liberal: So many people to hate, so little time.
I do not know him, but suspect he was.
But I do know Bill Burkett. I briefly worked with him at the same company many years ago.
Everyone who inhabits this forum knows about Dan Rather, Memo Gate, and Bill Burkett.
It is a new battle each day.
My comment about Letterman was made in ‘jest’ and I assumed people would ‘get it’.
Sorry and Thanks. I am right now absolutely not in “humor mode”, so many discomforting things happening.
Me neither SW, I have had a number of my comments criticized since yesterday and it gets ‘trying’, lol.
Too much hate in the atmosphere right now.
What does a Christian and Jew-hating truther Nazi have to do with conservatism? Sounds like your garden variety leftist to me.
He sounds like a supporter of Jeremiah Wright. He must have listened to Wright’s comment about how Jews were keeping Obama from him.
It would arguably be an even more justifiable to posit in the public discussions on the matter that it was Obamas apparent willingness to throw Israel under the bus coupled with Rev Wrights comments about Jews thwarting Obama that served as just the sort of green light James Von Brunn needed to act on his hatred for Jews.
Good post potlatch
Perhaps some of the old threads on Dan Rather and other MSM Limo-Lib radical democrats and politicians should be updated and rerun or ammended as “PART DEUX” so the younger will learn and the rest will not forget
Jim Robinson and the MODs would know better about this than I ever could
I sometimes pen some good stuff or create and post some edgy graphics or humorous images
But I also admit that I invite edits and corrections if I am wrong or go over the top
Even what is true can be misused by the radicals and MSM pimps
I guess I am not a moderate
I must be on Hussy Jr’s short list
Lol, I had someone here less than a year make a crude remark today and when I commented on it they tried to instruct me on ‘freeper etiquette’.
What you say is true, newer freepers may not know of former MSM Limo-Lib radical democrats episodes and there is no doubt that these people are creating more hate among the left every day.
Someone wrote a good remark today. They said that Americans
can’t even agree on what reality is anymore! You can see it even here on the forum.
Wayne Slater is today’s STUCK ON STUPID award winner.
Left wing TV (MSNBC) and the “usual suspect” web pages are reporting that this guy was a Freeper, complete with graphics that show his posts with the Free Republic page “proudly” displayed.
If this is true, how did they get his screen name? How could a lefty media and internet outlet know a poster by his real name within hours of the incident?
Now I understand why some Texans in the Houston area consider Dallas to be “Yankeeland”.
