Now the government has taken over General Motors. Hundreds of profitable auto dealerships are being closed down against their will, sending 100,000 more people to the unemployment lines. And we also now have a Pay Czar who will not only control the income levels for businesses taking government bailouts, but will also set the standards for private business that has not. The government thinks they know best; they will tell business how to run itself and how to pay its employees and executives.
Is it time yet?
Our local government also acts as if it knows far better than the people. There has been skyrocketing spending by local officials in the past few years, seriously increasing our tax burden. The citys rainy day fund, the LCDCs pot of gold and NICs taking of our Foregone taxes have all been grabbed for big public projects upon which we citizens were never allowed to vote. Adding insult to injury, NIC just announced their third tax hike in a year. And they continue to pretend that a peak-market price for the mill site in todays sharply devalued real estate jungle is acceptable. Its only taxpayer money, there must be more where that came from!
Are you ready to take action? Its time to stand up and be counted. This is not a partisan issue, its an American call to action:
IF you are tired of being left out of big decisions by our local and national government speak out.
IF you are concerned about our national and local move toward socialism stand up.
IF you believe in States rights, which are being trampled more and more each day by our Federal administration go on record.
IF you think the power of individual achievement should be honored and protected in our country get tough.
IF you believe that profit is good and small business is the backbone of our economy get ready to fight for it.
And IF you know that government cannot and should not try to spend its way out of a recession by burdening our children and their children..its time to do something about it!
The moment is here: Tea Party II is happening on June 12th this coming Friday evening from 5:30 - 8:30pm at QEmilin Park in Post Falls.
This will be a chance to get together with other concerned citizens of every background; Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians and Independents will all be gathering to participate in a public dialog about the direction of our government.
There will be speakers, entertainment, food and conversation. Come be a part of history! Stand up for your beliefs and sign up for one of the focus committees forming to follow ten specific subjects such as health care, climate change, business, education, etc. This is not just a gathering to spout off about the government, this is an effort to organize, educate, inform and mobilize. Lets do something about it, and lets do it together.
Please answer this call to action. Dont come alone, bring a relative, friend, neighbor or co-worker. Take a chance, make it happen. Remember that President Ronald Regan said, We the people tell the government what to do, it doesnt tell us. We the people are the driver, the government is the car. And we decide where it should go, and by what route, and how fast. Almost all the worlds constitutions are documents in which governments tell the people what their privileges are. Our Constitution is a document in which We the people tell the government what it is allowed to do.
That doesnt seem to be happening right now, does it? Well maybe its time for us to demand our Constitutional rights. Remember also that world-renown anthropologist Margaret Mead, who studied people and cultures all over the globe said, Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, concerned citizens can change the world. Indeed it is the only thing that ever has. See you Friday.
All TEA parties should be followed up by going to D.C.: http://pushbackuntil.com. Because we have to take the battle to the belly of the beast.

I’ll be at Q’Emlin this Friday.
