The North Korean succession: Pyongyang's next in line needs clout

Former Vice President Al Gore is reportedly being dispatched to Pyongyang to appeal for the release of American journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling, who report for Mr. Gore's Current TV media company. Meanwhile, South Korean Defense Minister Lee Sang-hee said in a June 8 letter to the South Korean military that the reason for North Korea's recent behavior is the unfolding succession drama. The two issues are closely related.

Damn,,, Al Gore? Man, we really *are* playing dirty, i wouldn’t wish something that unpleasant on anyone,,not even on a north korean!

It's obvious. Throw Al Gorbachev, the guy who sent them there in the first place, in the slammer when he gets there and let the kids go.

Pyongyang's next in line needs to be South Korean.
Drop troops in, attack at night, use helicopters to sweep up during day whi;e troops amass and conquer areas.
Jam NK radio freq.
Bomb Pyongyang
Position patriots on border and knock down missiles. They only have so much.

Pray China doesn't screw the pooch.

You under estimate the ferocity of the N.Korean military.
The would not be a push over. Military machine is one of the few things they do well.

I don’t deny that. But I don’t think their military machine is as happy with the government as many would think. Plus, there is the fact that they’d be going to war with their Korean brothers...

If South Korean had the nuts, they’d start false transmissions on the army channels that Kim Jong Il was assassinated, China was guilty of it, and China is presently invading from the north. Then invade and see what happens.
