Just saw this breaking on Fox News. Pelosi and the other RATs on this committee have just openly committed treason against the country by voting to block the senate's attempt to keep the "torture" photos sealed.
You will have to be more precise, as Pelosi is the Speaker of the House and has nothing to do with any Senate Committee.
Just saw it also on Fox. At what point do the American people say enough is enough?
Pelosis isn’t on the committee obviously, but she is the leader of this travesty.
Sorry-house committee. They were talking about it on O’Reilly when it came across on Breaking News.
We have a unicameral legislature now?
Did I misread it? I thought it said a Senate committee. Got to lay off the beer when I’m reading the crawler at the bottom of the screen.
House-Senate Conference Committee.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi opposes an amendment barring the release of photographs showing alleged U.S. abuses of suspected terrorist detainees.
She said on MSNBCs Ed Schultz show Wednesday, I dont think Congress should make an exception to FOIA, her spokesperson Brendan Daly told Who Runs Gov news service.
Pelosi is reversing her earlier stance in which she said she would support the Obama administrations push to keep the photos secret.
The amendment, introduced by Sens. Joe Lieberman and Lindsey Graham, was part of war spending bill.
The amendment was unanimously passed by the Senate. But a House-Senate conference committee working on the bill appears ready to eliminate the photo provision.
Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., says the final bill definitely wont contain the measure, according to Who Runs Gov.
Pelosi and the rest of the Democratic leadership are moving to excise the amendment, The Weekly Standard reports.
Lieberman and Graham vowed Wednesday to shut down Senate business to save the legislation.
Both men have stressed that they are less concerned about legal principles involved than what they describe as a grave threat to U.S. troops if the photographs are released.
U.S. military commanders have told the Obama administration that releasing the photos could cause a surge in violence in Iraq and Afghanistan. U.S. embassies also are said to be preparing for attacks in hotbed countries in the Middle East.
President Obama reversed course last month to side with the senators and fight the release of the photographs.
The publication of these photos would not add any additional benefit to our understanding of what was carried out in the past by a small number of individuals, Obama told reporters.
In fact, the most direct consequence of releasing them, I believe, would be to further inflame anti-American opinion and to put our troops in greater danger.”

Obambi will now have to pick a side publicly. He’ll either go against Pelosi or go against the troops. The only way these keep sealed is if Zero issues an executive order.
I just read on another site that The Big O is against releasing the photes. He was for it before he was against it.
IF it’s a senate committee it isn’t Pelosi. At least not this particular thing.
Americans voted for this.
Just keep worshipping the false idol.
General Petraeus and General Odierno have argued against the release.
The photos will serve no purpose other than jeopardizing the lives of US troops.
Seems like a no brainer.
Except that the Democrats, led by Pelosi, are doing everything they can to release the photos.
Apparently agitating the Arab street and ginning up the terrorists trumps the lives of US soldiers.
Every Democrat who supports this vile measure should be defeated in 2010.
It’s a no brainer.
Obama could issue an executive order to blunt the anti military Democrats.
Will he ?
If past is prologue, Obama will put the interests of Muslims above the US,
so the logical answer is No.
Pelosi must really be full of rage at (former) Prez Bush - this to make BUsh #2 look bad.
She should be charged as an accessory to murder if any of our troops are harmed because of this....
