Something is wrong when Levi Johnston sounds more reasonable about an issue than a former candidate for Vice President.

Asked by Extra if David Letterman crossed a line with his jokes about Bristol Palin this week, her baby daddy replied:

"I think he might have a little bit. I don't think he meant to hurt anybody. He's a comedian. That's what he does... People are going to make jokes and there're going to talk and say whatever they want. You can't do nothing about it.

"[But] there's somewhere you have to draw the line with some things."

Simple, direct, rational, critical. That's all Sarah Palin had to say. Go ahead and stick up for your family, Governor. Tell everyone you thought the joke was a bit much.

It's delicious for me to read these threads, last fall I was roundly criticized here for saying that it was a bad idea to put this boy in a nice suit and parade him around on the stage at the Republican National Convention. I felt it was the wrong message to send to teenaged girls that sex with your boyfriend will all work out OK, no matter what.

I sure hope Levi is showing girls just how much of a self-serving jerk a guy can be. He's now got TV to be the locker room he brags about the "score".

Levi Johnson is an irresponsible child who refuses to support his child or the mother of his child financially or emotionally. Now he goes on TV to defend David Letterman when he verbally abuses and humiliates the mother of his child and her 14 year old sister. He might have been paid to say this or maybe just talked into it by the media. This guy is a walking advertisement for why young girls should not have sex with slime balls who are unable to fulfill the adult responsibilities of caring for and protecting their partner and their children.
