A source from the Ministry of Interior said that the real results were 42 million votes for Mousavi, and only 5.6 million for Ahmadinejad. Iran's Militant Clerics Society has called for the vote to be annulled and a new election held.

Will be interested to see what happens tomorrow.
Karrubi issued a statement calling the vote engineered and the result of amateur fixing. Later Musavi, Karrubi and Khatami, along with his wife (granddaughter of Ayatollah Khomeini) were arrested or placed under house arrest. All leaders of the opposition Islamic Participation Front and the Revolution’s Mujahidin Party have been rounded up.
Student Unrest: Regime riot police are battling students at Tehran University and have reportedly attacked a womens dormitory. There is also reportedly a unrest at Esfehan University of Technology, where many students have been arrested and the faculty is said to have resigned
What’s the difference between an American voter and an Iranian one?
The Iranian voter recognizes a rigged election.
Our news media has been to fixated with Letterman...ABC news has nothing and the rest can’t push Obuma off the front page long enough to report.
And Little Hitler will have them beheaded first.
Worse than that. We let the presstitutes at the Ministry of Truth select our candidate for us too!
That was the 'real' purpose of lord McCain's campaign finance reform... power was given to the Jon Stewart MSM to select/advertise the candidate of their choice... And hey the Supremes said that is ok, only certain people are more special than the rest... And we the US citizens supposedly own the airwaves...
and the difference between Ahmadinejad and Mousavi is?
According to Amb John Bolton - not much.
“the extremist builds nuclear weapons and announces his intentions to destroy Israel... while the moderate builds nuclear weapons and is smart enough to keep his mouth shut about his intentions to destroy Israel.”
The extremist wants to stone you dead with sharp rocks.
The moderate will extend mercy—smooth river rocks will be allowed for stoning.
I’ll bet that those results would have been similar here if all of the fraudulent ACORN votes were tossed out last November.
Placemarker ... prayers up for Persians seeking freedom.
The fantasy of a moderate Iran we can work with is Obama’s bainchild.
Point of the lesson is that the youth of Iran have suddenly had to confront the truth that the ruling mullahocracy has zero regard for their vote. There is something to be said for this realization/awakening coming in an election where the differences in the candidates was merely a whisp. There can be no doubt that it was the vote of the people that was pissed upon by the mullahocracy, it had nothing to do with deep ideological threat to the mullahs! Now, with this awakening, perhhaps the Persian people will see why freedom is so valuable and so distant from them.
” Regime riot police...have reportedly attacked a womens dormitory”
Obviously, they need to deal with the toughest opponents first/sarcasm
Sorry I don’t believe in the awakening of the Persian people. For years some have promised that there will be a populist uprising and that the Persian people did not want nukes and loved the US.
Thus we squandered years while they built their nukes. And now the moment is upon us and we are still chasing our tails dreaming of their awakening.
Didn’t think of it that way, you’re right. I pray for those girls and what may happen or is happening to them.
That could be the USA. When are we going to wake up?
lots of good video & pics here
I pray soon.
You do know that they live in a totalitarian regime with murderous tyrants keeping a lid on their will?
How can you expect any awakening/uprising/change if the clueless West sits idly on the sidelines.
There have been many opportunities to destabilize the islamic regime. We did nothing except for some weak sanctions that the Europeans bypassed.
No Solidarnosc movement ala Poland. See how we supported the Eastern Europeans against Communism, it took decades to throw off the yoke.
It is unrealistic to expect isolated, disarmed and unsupported people to rise against one of the most thuggish regimes of all times on their own.
When the mullahs toppled the Shah, they were armed and supported externally.
Time to do that in Iran against the mullahs.
Thank you! Watched it all and read it all! Glad I’m here.
“Time to do that in Iran against the mullahs.”
No time. It’s too late.
And I have never seen any evidence, nor personally believed, that the nuclear program did not have popular support. The people may want freedom but they also want Iranian nukes. And that can’t happen.
Yes I have followed Michael Ledeen, faster please, but he never explained how regime change even if it were to occur, would change the drive for nukes. It won’t.
Agree. We are already on either side of iran. Time to start shipping arms in.
But the chaos would buy israel some time.
Possibly so. I always maintain that the nuke problem is something Israel should deal with airstrikes.
Doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t support an regime change.
Nukes aren’t the only problem here.
I would imagine so.
Everyone just kind of delicately tiptoed around it all, didn’t they?
>Below are thousands of Iranians chanting not “Death to America” or “Death to Israel,” but “Death to the Government.”<
This is why CNN won’t show it.
They don’t want us to get any ideas.

BINGO!!! As if that happens here people wouldn’t do the same. CNN doesn’t have to give American citizens that idea.
I believe it did happen here.
They just don’t want anyone to figure it out.
No wonder the people there are going ballistic.
Oh yeah! I remember CNN.
Hey, I’m not watching it!
(Another poster said they weren’t showing it)
Sure it can. Out of the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council, three are free and two are not. All have nukes.
The French, for instance, are free and have nukes. If the Iranians are free and have nukes, then how are they different than France, or worse than, say, China?
BUMP to dat!!!
I can buy that iaminajihad lost.. but 42 to 5 million seems very very improbable..
I believe that while most want nuclear energy, a pro-Western goverment would be more interested in stabilizing it’s position internally and internationally by ending the nuclear arms program.
From my knowledge of Iranians, they agree that many there support nuclear energy, but not necessairly nuclear weapons. This is why the regime itself is peddling the propaganda line that they are only defending their right to peaceful nuclear energy.
I think a hopefully soon freed Iran, has higher priorities than having that nuclear arms issue standing in their way.
But I fully understand the Israeli position that it wants the nuclear arms issue off the table ASAP. This is a delicate situation right now, and Obama is doing nothing to make it any better.
If true, it suggests that the “powers that be” may have decided that it is necessary to forego amateur election-rigging and re-do the process in a more “professional” manner. I don’t expect that a “new” election will be anything more than a sprucing up of pre-ordained political decisions in a manner more attractive to the public.
That the iranian Mollahcracy fails....
Libnuts seem to assume that Mussavi could change something foundamentally in the iranian policy...
But anyway i thought that OBAMAO wanted to talk with Amadinejad .He has been telling and repeating that for months

Ummm..., I would rather have “Ima-nut-job” in office, instead of the other so-called moderate guy.
I like Ahmadinejad embarrassing the Europeans with his threats to annihilate the nation of Israel and wipe out the Jews with another Holocaust. It’s so much better to have that kind of a contrast for those nut-jobs in Europe, instead of a weasel-weenie type that many are saying that they would prefer to “Ima-nut-job”... LOL...
No..., let’s hope not. I prefer “Ima-nut-job” being in office... thank you...
You said — And Little Hitler will have them beheaded first.
Well, hell! They’ve already arrested Rafsanjani and it’s said that he won’t be “getting out alive” either, but will be executed by the Mullahs.
Couldn’t happen to a better guy, since he was involved in the hostage-taking of Americans, many years ago.
So, I’m cheering on “Ima-nut-job” Ahmadinejad, so that he can clear out some other Iranian nuts, too... LOL...
