Having this spread outside Tehran means critical mass is near.

"Marg bar dictator," or "Down with dictator.

Isn't that actually "Death to the dictator"?

Same thing happened in China and then Tienanmen happened.
I expect a hard line crackdown and a bloody beat down.

I pray they will (somehow) succeed in bringing down first the cabinet, and then the Supreme Leader.

But I fear you are right that a bloody crackdown ala Tiananmen is in the cards. The Revolution is yet without arms, and the outside is sitting idly.

What is important now is that the protests must be sustained over weeks, if not months. There are indications that on Thursday a massive strike will follow to bring the country to a standstill.

This is how it played in 1978/1979 as well.

Twittered rumor that the Army will announce neutrality in the internal fight!
This is also what happened in 1979.

It would be the momentus shift if some Army Generals would pull a coup against the mullahs, ala Zahedi and Nassiri in 1953 against Mossadegh.

I’ve been wondering what side the army would take...if they back the government, then it’s all over except for the roundup.

Even neutrality is good.

I’ve seen this Japanese, Korean and a few other languages. English, in many ways, is the defacto universal language (even if it’s just bits and pieces).

Exposure to other types of media and cultures. I see it a lot in Japan, Korea and the Phillipeans.

http://www.rezapahlavi.org/

Reza Pahlavi is in the US leading the largest group of pro-Western dissidents.

Per his own words he wants a free referendum on the future shape of government in Iran. He is willing if they want the Constitutional monarchy restored, but he is not insisting on it.

I’d like a restored Monarchy with a figurehead king (like Belgium, as the Iranian constitution demands), but this is not the point right now.

A republic either Presidential or Parliamentary is just as good.

The most important thing is the removal of the current islamic regime.

Don’t fight ‘em KILL ‘em. Cut Bash Burn you got gasoline right. Steal cars and ram them. Cut electricity to Government buildings and military installations. Sabotage bridges. Video and upload. Fight in shifts, don’t let the cops sleep.

Hit the airports and ports and refinery

Set up a Free Iran in Eastern Iran and ask for American and Saudi recognition and assistance

Destroy the regime before that regime uses you as a human shield against Israeli nukes.
