She didn't. She is defending her child. If Letterman had said the same words using the same venue about Scarborough's child, would he keep silent? If he did, and let his child bear the brunt of these public remarks, what kind of parent does that make him?
I would vote any day for a person, man or woman, whom I have witnessed standing up against an injustice done their child, over one who rolled over and kept silent because it was politically beneficial for them to do so.
Shame on Joe Scarborough for inferring that Palin was not doing the correct thing in defending her daughter and for that matter taking Letterman to task for all the crude remarks he has made about her children in the past. Children of politicians, especially as young as those in the Palin family should be as off limits as the Obama children are.

I don’t even get upset over these clowns who call themselves Republicans. They come out and trash some liberal just to get our attention and then when we are paying attention they come out with some crap that is more than stupid. Reminds me of an old TV show where the commie would come to your door and ask if you were aware of the fact that such a such president did such a such( which was a wonderful, but not overly publisized event) for America and then he followed up with again another wonderful and inspirational positive for him and our country. When the owner of the home began to show how proud they were of not only the man that was being praised,but their country, the ‘’visitor’’ would come on strong with some commie idea that this same person(president) did. This would plant the seed of dispair and distrust for our government. I believe the show was I Led Three Lives.
