The Palestinian Authority on Sunday criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's highly anticipated foreign policy speech, in which he called for immediate peace talks and endorsed the creation of Palestinian state without military capabilities.
An aide to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said that the speech "sabotages" regional peace efforts, due to Netanyahu's refusal to accept an influx of Palestinian refugees into Israel and his unwillingness to compromise on the status of Jerusalem.
"Netanyahu's remarks have sabotaged all initiatives, paralysed all efforts being made and challenges the Palestinian, Arab and American positions," said Nabil Abu Rudeinah.
He noted Netanyahu's demand that Jerusalem be the undivided capital of Israel and that Palestinian refugees not be allowed into Israel: "This will not lead to complete and just peace," Abu Rudeinah said. "His remarks are not enough and will not lead to a solution."
He described Netanyahu's setting of a condition of demilitarization as a condition for Israel agreeing to a Palestinian state as "detail".
"Our main demand is the end of the occupation and finding a fair solution for Palestinian refugees and halting settlements," Abu Rudeinah said. "Other details should be resolved in negotiations."
A senior Palestinian negotiator called on U.S. President Barack Obama to intervene to force Israel to abide by previous interim agreements that include freezing settlement activity in the West Bank. The alternative, he said, was violence.
"President Obama, the ball is in your court tonight," Erekat said. "You have the choice tonight. You can treat Netanyahu as a prime minister above the law and ... close off the path of peace tonight and set the whole region on the path of violence, chaos, extremism and bloodletting.

Gee, big surprise....the Palestinians don’t want peace, they’ve had umpteen opportunities and why our moron president as well as the rest of the world is blind to that is beyond me.
The Palestinians only want to be little “victims”...so Israel should make it so as far as I’m concerned...had it with these stupid primitive people.
Good, now get them out of Israel.
The weird thing I see happening now with the Palestinians and the Israelis, is that they have apparently gone the *opposite way* that one would think they would, concerning the two-state/one-state issue...
The Israelis are now arguing strongly against a one-state solution and definitely are for a two-state solution — basically because they don’t want all those Palestinians *inside* Israel proper and being able to vote. That would add millions of Palestinians to the voter rolls and enable them to boost out the Israeli politicians. That would completely change the “Jewish character” of Israel, as a “homeland for the Jews”.
And conversely, the Palestinians are going to be arguing for a “one-state solution:” — as they will see that this is the way that they can *sabotage* Israel, by putting all those millions of Palestinians *inside* Israel and being able to vote out Israeli politicians and put in Palestinian politicians and *take over Israel* from within, without resorting to any war at all...
It’s getting to be very weird over there, when one side switches with the other side for what you might think they would support... :-)
in other words, to have “peace’, Israel has to be wiped off the face of the earth. Ok-Do-Kee...
Was this before or after Arafat “won” the Nobel “Peace” prize?
How many times is this story going to be posted?!

We recall similar comments from the Japanese about criticism of their Greater East Asia Co-prosperity sphere, only with the Arabs it is the Greater Middle East lack of prosperity sphere.
How many times are you going to click on it when you know it has already been posted? Why come to this thread if it upsets you? Posting police, feh!
I read FR throughout the day (sometimes). And I see several stories reposted. But not everyone can do that. They see them only once, if ever. I have been very grateful for reposts on busy days.
Your solution would be to use an RSS reader that would only show you the new threads.
I’m sorry but I had to laugh. Do you use it? And does it work? :-D
Why would Bibi want to “sabatoge” his own country? The Palis and their O-ziah, need to buy a clue.
Bibi is brilliant. He agrees to a Palestinian state, but he insists on 3 very reasonable concessions.
1. The P-State must be demilitarized.
2. It must be patrolled by an international force.
3. It must recognize Israel as a JEWISH state.
Anyone who knows the region knows that there is nothing out of line with any of his requests.
Good for Netanyahu. Now bomb Iran’s nuclear reactors, since B.H. Firefly in’t about to do it.
Saeb Erekat, you MF, CS, Palesitinian POS!! You want President Barack Obama to force Israel to abide by previous interim agreements that include freezing settlement activity in the West Bank, or else, “there will be violence.”
STFU and FUBO to you!
“President Obama, the ball is in your court tonight,” Erekat said.
You can shove the ball where the sun don’t shine.
“You have the choice tonight. You can treat Netanyahu as a prime minister above the law and ... close off the path of peace tonight and set the whole region on the path of violence, chaos, extremism and bloodletting.”
You’ve made your choice, Saheeb EreRat. Sounds like a declaration of war to me.
No one is blind to anything.
Yeah, reality is a bitch to those in perpetual offense.
That is why the Palestinians always refuse a State, because they want to kill Jews with impunity, not have responsibility.
