Look again, Events bear out Homeland Security report’s warnings (Dinnosaur Media Death Watch)
Houston Chronicle ^ | June 14, 2009, 7:57PM | editorial board

Posted on 06/15/2009 5:15:27 AM PDT by cbkaty

The recent cases of a right-to-life extremist accused of killing an abortion doctor in Kansas and an elderly white supremacist accused in the fatal shooting of a Holocaust museum guard in Washington, D.C., match warnings in the report. It concluded individuals with white supremacist views, acting as so-called lone wolves, pose the most significant domestic terrorism threat because they are difficult for law enforcement to detect before they commit crimes.

Right-wing extremism is not a liberal figment of the imagination. As the DHS report and recent incidents make clear, it is a growing threat and a valid concern for federal law enforcement officials.

The Houston Chronicle knows that the "loon" that killed the security guard at the Holocast Museum was not a person of the right....and apparently the guard was not Jewish.

Why does the Chronicle continue to insult the intelligence of most of its readers?

Folks, keep this in the front of your mind:

The left is seeking an excuse to use the power of the government to punish their ideological opponents.

They always do. It ranges from social ostracization to extermination.

Statistically, right-wing extremism IS a liberal figment of the imagination. It almost does not exist, compared to crime commited by other demographics.

The day white supremacists wield batons at polling places in an effort to intimidate non-white voters, AND the police arrive only to poo-poo the crime, THEN I'll think we have a problem.

The DOJ just dropped charges against the New Black Panthers for voter intimidation....wanna guess what race was being intimidated?

And the story of the terrorist murder of Pvt. William Long continues to be blacked out. The DHS is either unwilling or unable to prevent the next 9/11. The ‘Bama will rely on media spin to blame President Bush’s policies when an American city lies in ruin, but abortionists will be safe.

"Big Lie" technique - favorite of wannabe dictators world-wide. If you say something loud enough, often enough and drown out dissenting opinion you can make it a known 'truth'. This Holocaust attacker was obviously conservative given his posted rants against the Bush Presidents, religion and advocacy of NAZI (National Socialist) values.

...and apparently the guard was not Jewish.

The guard was a black man, just doing his job, who never got home to his family.

I saw somewhere that the perp is a registered Democrat. Can anyone confirm?

In a section on the role of the economic downturn in fueling extremist groups, the report notes that “anti-Semitic extremists attribute these losses to a deliberate conspiracy conducted by a cabal of Jewish ‘financial elites.’
Houston Comical you have a problem. Per this tripe, Bill Clinton is an “anti-Semitic extremist"(1).

How about them apples!

...individuals with white supremacist views, acting as so-called lone wolves, pose the most significant domestic terrorism threat because they are difficult for law enforcement to detect before they commit crimes.

Ok, this is going to sound incredibly callous but...so what? Yes, a couple of people were killed. How many people were killed yesterday, in just one day, in DC, Detroit, LA, New York...???

Gangs routinely kill each other, innocent bystanders, and the direct victims of their crimes. They are not so "difficult for law enforcement to detect" because they hang out together, wear "colors" have gang tattoos, etc.

I don't buy into this "detect first" argument at all. First, it is just plain useless - even when law enforcement has a pretty good idea exactly who is going to commit murder, they cannot prevent it. Second, it would be illegal anyway. You cannot arrest someone for thinking about a crime. You can only arrest someone for actually committing a crime. We do not have thought police - yet.

Getting back to the numbers, and being callous. A couple of people are dead, yes, and that is a tragedy for their families and friends. But in the larger scheme of things, given the number of people routinely killed in traffic accidents and/or by other more prominent criminal activity... Is this even worth talking about let alone going after? Of course not. It is yet another example of liberal smoke-screen and emotional blackmail. This is not even close to a "significant domestic terrorism threat" when you stack it up against drunk drivers, gangs, or illegal aliens.

James Von Brunn(registered democrat) Like Most Holocaust Deniers are From the Left not the Right

The media is a abuzed about this, and the lefty blogs are acting as though this being some nuance of the right.

Wrong. Let’s not forget that Rev. Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan, both antisemitic and neither considered spokesmen for the right.

But after some research it appears the shooter, James Von Brunn is in fact - despite the protestations of the Kos Kids - a registered democrat from Maryland.

So much for the “Right Wing Conspiracy”.

Fact is that most of the Holocaust Denier crowd is from the left. Many of the groups follow the writings of Naom Chomsky, the premier antisemite. Paul Bogdanor’s website is devoted to the subject of leftwing antisemitism, as well as Communism and Genocide committed under left wing ideology.

Von Brunn

All of the Left’s commentators know they are lying about the motives and socialist ideology of the HM shooter. They hope if they say it often enough, it will become the truth.

I think a lot of people now know that the neo-Nazis are not Christians and are zero sum racists just like the Left’s multicultural race tribes. The “right wing” is not socialist which is why the Rinos and Democrats hate us.
