Former US president Jimmy Carter accused Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu of placing "several obstacles on the road to peace" on Monday, addressing the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee one day after Netanyahu laid out his policy during an internationally-televised speech.
"In my opinion, Netanyahu brought up several obstacles to peace in his speech that others before him have not placed," Carter, who is visiting Israel as part of a larger Middle East tour, told the committee. "He insists on settlement expansion and demands that the Palestinians recognize Israel as a Jewish state, even though 20% of Israel's citizens are not Jewish."
Carter nevertheless stressed that the differences between US President Barack Obama and Netanyahu could be overcome.

Damn Jews expect to live! Why can’t they just accept the ‘peace’ that Carter and Obama want for them!

To the idiot peanut farmer from Plains, Israelis’ desire to live is “an obstacle to peace.”
Jimmy is a fool, and an almost as great an embarrassment to this country as his spiritual successor, Zero.

Former US president Jimmy Carter accused Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu of placing "several obstacles on the road to peace" What a confirmation that Netanyahu is right! It's his country Carter, not yours! And we don't have Iran's missiles trained on us...not yet at least.

10% of Egypt’s population is non-Muslim. Does that mean that Egypt isn’t an Islamic state?

Jimmy Carter is the most disgraceful ex=President the US has ever had. And he did have some serious opposition for the title. But he and Bill will be left in the shade for worst ever, when Obama retires (?) in 1912.

I'll say.
Israeli security sources said that the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) had learned of plans to target Carter and had passed on the information to the former president's security detail in "real time." According to Palestinian sources, terrorists linked with al Qaida hid a number of improved explosive devices along a road that Carter's convoy was scheduled to travel on inside Gaza. Hamas forces reportedly uncovered the IEDs and destroyed them.
