I hope the tea parties are evidence that it’s not too late and we’re not giving up!!! (and freedom fighters like Freepers) But he is moving fast and hard, and I’m not seeing many road blocks for him at this point. Not enough tuff repub senators and reps out there.

a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm!

Like anyone believes that CBS is ethical. What’s the big deal? They probably just figured out that their Programing is worse than CSPAN, so why not let obama take it over.

ok, see #263—why I asked if it was pointless. Yes, they want their advertising money, after all, they have to have more income than the govts going to give them..but we both know we are up against a machine, not a group of people fighting for their jobs. These people are trying to control everything, from the media to health care. The media really doesn’t care about what we say. If they did, they wouldn’t do stuff like the cnn reporter did to the protestor —she chose to attack him for “insulting” obama, and didn’t attack the guy protesting and insulting bush. wonder if she got her job back..she did after all, have to take some kind of ‘personal’ leave.. Probably out of fear.

He doesn’t need to. They already report everything just like they are told to.

I read through the comments-there was more than one purported Republican calling for the Fairness doctrine to be enacted because of this-rats can’t even apply logic when they pretend to be Republicans-any real Republican opposes the Fairness Doctrine. Rats are so stupid, and they’re even more stupid for believing that everyone else is as stupid as they are. They are also setting up strawman arguments that the right has Fox News, Rush, etc, so why shouldn’t ABC (a supposedly impartial news organisation dedicated to just reporting the facts) hold a one-sided infomercial on behalf of Hussein and his socialised Castro-style “health care”? Even the rats can’t be that stupid, so they’re doing the usual of setting up false arguments in order to avoid the real problem with this.

All Barry Channel will hopefully lose even more market share because of this. Not because people are any less stupid, but hopefully at least because they’re just not interested and have Obama fatigue.

I don't know. . It seems I'm telling my friends a lot, "My God, it's something every day!"

So when is the tipping point? What's it going to take?

By the way, if you haven't seen it, great article by fellow FReeper Beckwith at the Obamafiles,

http://www.theobamafile.com/ObamaLatest.htm

"Obama Nationalizes The Free And Independent Press"

"The Drudge Report is reporting that on the night of June 24th, the media and government will become one, when ABC turns its programming over to Barack Obama and White House officials to push government run health care -- a move that has ignited an ethical firestorm! ABC News anchor, Charlie Gibson, will deliver ABC World News from the Blue Room of the White House. ABC Radio will also provide exclusive coverage. The network also plans a primetime special -- "Prescription for America" -- that will originate from the East Room, and will exclude opposing voices on the health care debate.

Late Monday night, Republican National Committee Chief of Staff, Ken McKay fired off a complaint to the head of ABCNEWS:

Dear Mr. Westin: As the national debate on health care reform intensifies, I am deeply concerned and disappointed with ABC's astonishing decision to exclude opposing voices on this critical issue on June 24, 2009. Next Wednesday, ABC News will air a primetime health care reform "town hall" at the White House with President Barack Obama. In addition, according to an ABC News report, Good Morning America, ABC World News, Nightline and ABC’s web news "will all feature special programming on the president’s health care agenda." This does not include the promotion, over the next 9 days, the president’s health care agenda will receive on ABC News programming. Today, the Republican National Committee requested an opportunity to add our Party's views to those of the President's to ensure that all sides of the health care reform debate are presented. Our request was rejected. I believe that the President should have the ability to speak directly to the America people. However, I find it outrageous that ABC would prohibit our Party's opposing thoughts and ideas from this national debate, which affects millions of ABC viewers. In the absence of opposition, I am concerned this event will become a glorified infomercial to promote the Democrat agenda. If that is the case, this primetime infomercial should be paid for out of the DNC coffers. President Obama does not hold a monopoly on health care reform ideas or on free airtime. The President has stated time and time again that he wants a bipartisan debate. Therefore, the Republican Party should be included in this primetime event, or the DNC should pay for your airtime. Respectfully, Ken McKay Republican National Committee Chief of Staff

First Obama nationalized insurance companies, then banks and Wall Street, and then the auto companies. He is seizing private property and wants to control wages. He's created 21 Czars that answer only to him and have no Congressional oversight. He's illegally fired people who don't tow the line. He's raised taxes on oil and gas to "stop global warming." Now he wants to nationalize health care and turn the best medical system on the planet over to the same folks who brought you the IRS and the postal system. This guy is OUT OF CONTROL! Bogus POTUS"
