Switzerland is probably the premier international finance capitol of the world.

A shoe shine boy over there could tell you if they were real or fake.

Is there any connection between the change in the banking laws of Switzerland recently announced (so that access for law enforcement was going to occur), and the fact that people are moving money around surreptitiously? I think there is a great deal of shifting going on to try to cover lots of rear ends. The public has no right, apparantly, to know of all of these things...we are to simply accept what is happening and claim market forces are at work, when it is really corrupstion and power shifting on the largest scale. You lowly individuals in the general public should just shut up and keep producing.

The Federal Government hasn’t issued any bearer bonds in 27 years and none have been issued by private industry for 49 years. $135 Billion may be chump change now, but it was real money when those bonds would had to have been issued and probably exceeds the total value of all such bonds still outstanding.

Two things I don’t understand: These clowns were arrested on June 3. Why has it taken two weeks to establish

1) Whether the bonds are real or no?; and,

2) Are these guys who they say they are?

The continued silence from the Treasury and the Japanese government is deafening.

I guess you believe without reservation everything the Fed tells you.

Now we’re back in Tooth Fairy land. Have you seen the Easter Bunny lately?

Ok, so there are double secret bearer bonds that nobody knows about...issued, no doubt, to finance operations at Area 51.

Yup.

They used the proceeds to build flying saucers at area 51 to protect all the gold that’s still at Ft. Knox...

$134.5 bil - JAN 2005- Period ending: Japanese had invested in U.S. Gov’t debt.

Then we have this:

$134.5 bil - MAR 2009 – WSJ reports TARP money left over.
$134.5 bil - JUN 2009 – 2 Japanese detained with U.S. bonds in Italy.

Obama & co. including the media are quiet.

Any dots I’ve left out trying to make sense what is going on?

Se we are saying that we bought back all of Japan’s debt as of a certain date with TARP money?

The Treasury doesn’t know where the TARP money, what makes anyone think they keep track of their bonds?

IMHO, this was some bright idea dreamed up by our brightest and best that blew up in their faces.

I say water board the son of Nippon and see what he says about future bond transfers, with Jaun McCain’s permission of course.

Well, the gov has had, like forever, off-balance budget items that you or I or Zero himself could not find out how much or where or anything.

Black projects, various types of ops in foreign countries, stuff we will never know about.

Why didn’t they just stash them on a plane and fly into Switzerland?

Apparently they have been lieing about it just like they lie about everything else.

They might have thought that crossing within Europe on land would have been easier and less formal than going through customs at international airports. But who really knows? That’s just a guess. They might have even planned to get off of the train and cross on a back road in a car.

If the paper was fake, it would be a HUGE story, as “the greatest caper ever attempted.”

Thanks for posting the Denninger.

My question is: who has the motive to “burn” the Japanese operation to quietly unload these notes in Switzerland?

The US govt, that’s who. As a lesson to others: we know what you are doing, we can expose it, don’t try it again.

Just a theory.

The silence tells me they are real.

Governments are playing some high stakes poker, with the US govt. burning this caper to “discourage” more covert unloading of US paper.

My guess.
