WASHINGTON (AP) - Attorney General Eric Holder says recent violent attacks show the need for a tougher hate crimes law.
Holder, speaking Tuesday at a luncheon for civil rights lawyers, noted the recent killings of an abortion doctor in Kansas, a soldier in Little Rock, and a guard at the Holocaust Museum in Washington.
He called the attacks brazen acts committed in once-unthinkable places, and said it is past time for Congress to strengthen hate crimes laws to prosecute violence based on gender, disability, or sexual orientation.

Funny, your fellow ‘Rats in Congress didn’t seem to feel it was appropriate to give our men and women in uniform those same protections. Wonder why, Eric?

This idiot should read the law a bit. There are thousands of laws on the books to take care of criminals who hurt people, kill people, rob people, bugger people and otherwise commit mayhem on people. He wants to make everything race based. That is racist.

Holder fills me with disgust. I am still incensed that he called America a nation of cowards. HE’S the filthy stinking coward, spewing such a slur while hiding behind government power and protection of his worthless little hummingbird a$$.
I’d like to challenge him to a duel, but since he is only half a man I could only challenge him to half a duel.

Ayers and Doran hate HATRED of this country and parents in their hearts when they engaged in a terrorist bombing campaign on America.
But the Left defends them and champions them. No investigations of those who pay to bring them in on speaking tours either.

Actually the reference to Little Rock must mean the soldier killed by the American-born Muslim convert. I’m surprised Holder included that one since the killer didn’t fit into his template of bad guys.

I just noticed, those are rubber nightsticks.
That’s what the Germans use, or at least they did 30 years ago.

Holder, speaking Tuesday at a luncheon for civil rights lawyers, noted the recent killings of an abortion doctor in Kansas, a soldier in Little Rock, and a guard at the Holocaust Museum in Washington. All of the "suspects" will be up for either the death penalty or life in prison without parole. Does Holder want to add a few extra volts or a few extra years to those penalties? Maybe the lethal injection can be done with a really dull needle to show that we're serious about hate crimes.

Is there a law against murder? Last time I checked, there was. If the penalty for murder isn't enough, increase the penalty.
This inanity of ‘hate crimes’ just piles on more onto a very simple concept: You commit murder, you get punished. There shouldn't be any special circumstances - my life is of the same value as a policeman, a fireman, a mailman, etc. Is there any evidence that ‘hate crime’ additional penalties do anything to prevent crime? What was that? None?
Let's get to the truth of the matter - this is simply an end run to circumvent freedom of speech. It is to make giving an opposing opinion from the common liberal ideal as being a crime. It is to make the following statement evidence in a future trial: Marriage is for a man and a woman.
It has nothing to do with previous crimes, it has nothing to do with crime prevention, it has everything to do with making everything written and said which does not conform to the extreme liberal ideology a crime.

prosecute violence based on gender, disability, or sexual orientation
one has absolutely nothing to do with the other. The recent killings were not based on gender, disability or sexual orientation (i.e., sexual choice).

Didn't this clown “make his bones” at a law firm that was hired to be defense attorneys for the fine folks visiting Club Gitmo? How did he feel defending jerks who hate America? He continued to defend them when he became Barry's AG and helped release the Gitmo vacationers and return them to the jihad.

Holder appears to be the--by now fairly standard--minority bureaucrat; bigoted, chip-on-the-shoulder, hate whitey fan of the Jeremiah Wright/Michelle Obama/Barack Obama view of America.
Like most of the minority whiners, Holder pushes more hate crime legislation because it feeds his ideological appetite and makes it easier for him to intimidate and silence Obama critics while simultaneously punishing loyal American conservatives.
In other words, a perfect Obama appointee who fits in quite well with the rest of his anti-America rat pack.
