Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) didn't like a Brigadier General calling her "ma'am" at an EPW hearing yesterday.
"Do me a favor," she said, "could say 'senator' instead of 'ma'am?' It's just a thing, I worked so hard to get that title, so I'd appreciate it, yes, thank you."

See I disagree that’s a reasonable request I would think. “Sir” and “Ma’am” are generic terms, we refer to Senators, Congressman, and Presidents by title.
She worked hard to earn another title—bitch.
Did she call him “General” or ‘boy’?
Mrs. Boxer, as one of your constituents, there are several things I’d like to call you and “senator” is not one of them.

There is no regulation, rule or law that requires this or any other deference with regard to our so-called “public servants”.
Not if you are military. You call the President ‘sir’. If it’s good enough for Potus, its good enough for old, wannabee sex kitten.

To which he should have replied, “Certainly, Senator. And would you please address me as ‘General’? I’ve worked hard for that title, too.”
Trust me Boxer, among intelligent people, who pay attention to current events, “ma’am” is a much more complimentary salutation then the odious “Senator”.

Screw 'em. Even the Queen of England is properly referred to as "ma'am" after a formal introduction is made.

The fact she refers to it as a "title" shows arrogance. It's not a titled job. It's an elected "position".
