I believe missile defense is only going to become more important in the future, not less. Not just national missile defense, but also defense of our citizens and deployed forces abroad. We should be working to a 99% effectiveness or higher.
Yes. “Admin. thinks it is adequate”...I do not think 90% effectiveness is an adequate stopping point, and agree with you. It is not in the interest of the US to have a minimized missile defense system. Moreover, the 90% effectiveness is probably overoptimistic at present.
Can’t we just surround N Korea with a localized shield, shooting down ANYTHING that is launched?
